My fiance and I were with friends at the Pensacola Seafood Festival, standing in the midst of festival craziness, all sharing a slice of Bushwhacker pie made by Eat! It was fantastic. The pie itself was to die for, we were with great friends, with great people watching, and at one of our favorite festivals. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

My favorite dessert story was sharing a poodle cookie dessert with my mom at Zoe in the W in New Orleans. It was our yearly shopping trip and time to spend together. We got to laughing at this beautiful dessert and starting laughing so loud the guests around us where staring. Just a little mom and daughter time. I love you mom!!

My favorite dessert experience was at our housewarming party a few years back. My cousin is a chef and she made a coconut creme brulee served in real coconut shells. She made them in our cramped little kitchen with about 20 onlookers. Her making them was the highlight of the party. Everyone marvelled as she torched the tops. Definitely the most memorable part of the night. :)

My favorite dessert experience was definitely on my wedding night! My new husband and I arrived at our hotel room, and were greeted by a bottle of champagne and a box of luxurious chocolates. Though it wasn’t anything gourmet, we had so much fun curling up on the bed eating chocolate and talking about all of the day’s events. We didn’t get any of our wedding cake (couldn’t get us off the dance floor long enough) so this was the perfect sweet ending to a perfect day!

I went to NYC for the first time to visit one of my closestfriends from hs and college (now my bridesmaid) since she was out there for grad school. Together we took the NYC chinatown bus to the Boston chinatown for $10 to visit our other close high school and college friend who was doing her masters in Boston. Together, the three of us cali girls got lost in the wonderful autumn foliage that Boston has. We walked around and got lost in the city and at the end of the night, found ourselves at the "Top of the Park." A wonderful resturant that has a great view of the whole city of Boston! All three of us love creme brulee and wanted to order but the waiter told us he only had almond creme brulee. We were not nutty for nuts so we had our reservations ordering but the waiter assured us it was great. And you know what? IT WAS. The three of us cleaned the plate. Ever since then, we always ask what kind of creme brulee each restuarant has for dessert. It was a great dish!

my favorite dessert story is when I went on my trip to Pakistan, we went to a Dunkin Donuts to get breakfast, something to eat that wouldnt make us sick, but in front of Dunkin Donuts was this guy with a street cart selling fresh hot jallebis (orange colored sugared fried dough). The smell made not only mine but my moms and grandma’s mouths water, and we were so tempted but decided it probably wasn’t sanitary and we couldn’t afford to get sick on a short trip. We went inside, looked at the donuts and other breakfast items, looked at each other and left. We bought 2 lbs of jallebis from the man, and ate more than half right there. They were so warm and yummy and the just melted in my mouth. Best jallebi i’ve ever had. Never had them be so good. YUM.

Meeting my grandmother in her small, Hamtramck, Michigan home… she’d sit me on the conter and teach me her Polish recipes… and give me both the task of taste-testing and dusting powdered sugar on top of all her cookies. Now that she has passed away, I look forward to having my own children/grandchildren to plop on the counter and pass along the same recipes that meant so much to me in my youth.

I love these! They are so cute! And my fiance and I love desserts so much that we are having a desserts-only reception! My favorite dessert experience was in college when my roommate and I shared a Chocolate Lover’s Banana Split from Kopp’s on Valentine’s Day. We have a picture of us holding it up before digging in and we have the most excited looks on our faces! It consisted of chocolate ice cream, chocolate covered bananas, chocolate sauce, chocolate whipped cream and chocolate shavings topped with a chocolate covered cherry! I still believe there is no such thing as "too much chocolate"!

My boyfriend (just days from being my fiance) and I were on a two week vacation to Europe. We had spent the morning touring a few of Germany’s most famous castles. At a hotel in Bavaria, Germany, just outside of the Newschuanstein Castle (the castle that inspired Disney’s Cinderella castle), we took a quick lunch break. We enjoyed some great, authentic, German cuisine, and as a MAJOR desert fan, I just couldn’t help myself. We went for the most authentic thing on the menu, Bavarian Cream. As we dipped into the desert, it was nothing what we expected. A mix between creme brulee and ice cream, the Bavarian cream was undoubtedly the best desert either of us had ever tasted. We spent the next week in Germany & Paris, France and got engaged a few days later. It’s been a year and a half since, and to this day, we’ll always remember that trip, and that desert!

My favorite dessert experience has always involved making desserts with my mom, especially around the holidays. When I was a little girl I loved helping her in the kitchen with whatever you she was making. And now when I am home for a visit we are able to share some of these same moments together. The best part is that usually she is making something for a family get-together or a church social, so, I know I will be able to enjoy a taste of what we’ve made together – along with other loved ones, friends, and family.

My favorite dessert experience has to be a few days after we were engaged. My ring was so sparkly and we went to a fancy dinner on a summer night. It was warm outside though the sun was going down. We got a delicious warm chocolate cake and some home made sorbets. The light was still catching my ring and dessert was delicious. It might be one of my favorite memories of all time. Chocolate, ice cream, the diamond and love… How can I ever top that?

My favorite thing to bring to a potluck is dessert and my favorite dessert to prepare is tiramisu! Therefore, my favorite experience is actually sharing my desserts with other people. I love being in the kitchen and making every detail perfect…from shaving the chocolate to dusting the sugar! However, the best feeling, hands down, is seeing others take that first bite and enjoy what I’ve created :D!

My favorite dessert has to be at our engagement dinner :) We went to McCormick and Schmick’s and ordered a DOUBLE-BAKED apple pie with a big ol’ scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was so crispy and delicious… mmmm! We took a picture with it and everything… starting to make me hungry for Thanksgiving :)

There are two really distinct memories that are my favorite when it comes to dessert and I can’t choose just one. The first- my wedding day. For years on my birthday my girlfriend’s mom makes me a homemade German Chocolate Cake with frosting inches thick and for our wedding I asked her to make one for the dessert bar. This wasn’t just any ole’ cake. This was an 8 inch tall masterpiece and my slice, "the bride’s slice" was a 1/4 of the cake. I proceeded to eat it all over the course of the night. The second- last Christmas my hubby and our best friends went to dinner for sushi and martinis. After a few good martinis we walked down the block and stopped at a great bistro for flourless chocolate cake and oatmeal stout beers. I don’t think I have even been so full in my life and so happy at the same time!

My favorite dessert experience would be going to the Chocolate Show in New York City with my fiance and friends. We had so much delicious chocolate…

My favorite dessert experience involves meeting my fiance’ for the first time. We attended a housewarming barbeque where mutual friends were going to introduce us to each other. I brought two Lemonade Pies with me (it was Augusta in Georgia so you know it was hot!). The first time he saw me I was carrying the pies and he opened the door for me. The next time he saw me he gave up his chair for me so I could sit down and eat. All of this took place without us knowing they we were going to be officially introduced. When this happened, he had the nerve to ask if I made those pies or bought those from the grocery store. It was a great conversation starter and the beginning of a courtship.

I love Crème Brulee. My fiancé always makes fun of me because he says I could eat 3, 5, 7 servings all in one sitting and not even think twice. Maybe he thinks that cause he has actually seen me do it…. (well 3 at least). So when he proposed at our favorite vineyard in the beautiful Texas Hill Country while on vacation it was no surprise that he had a desert party for the two of us set up to celebrate after at sunset with two Crème Brulees, champagne and flowers! Definitely my favorite dessert moment!

I know it sounds cheesy but as soon as I found myself alone with my husband after the reception, we were so tired and hungry that we split a chocolate bar my mom had brought back from home (France) and since then we have one every anniversary.

I would have to say that my favorite dessert experience to this day is when my dad and grandpa first brought my sister and I to this homemade ice cream place about 20 minutes from our house called Hallmark…what I thought was a trip to the card store was about to become the best mouthwatering experience of my life. Lets just say that they have over 30 homemade unique flavors of which to this day I have trouble deciding from. I love the coconut chip, but the dark chocolate peanut butter swirl is a close second. Just about any of the flavors topped with their homemade whipped cream and carmal sauce would make any mouth water!

My favorite dessert story is, early on when my fiance and I were dating I always wanted to create romantic dates. Looking back any time I really tried it never worked out. I wanted to take him on a picnic and for us to drink champagne and eat homemade desserts. I spent all weekend getting recipes, then grocery shopping for the best ingredients. When it finally came to make the desserts by apartment building’s power went out and I ending up having to rush to the grocery store before he picked me up and we ate cheesy candy bars and deli desserts. It ended up being very romantic but not because of me. He brought his guitar and played for me in the park for the first time. It was perfect!
