Google+ Wanwisa Wednesday: Something Blue Ideas - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Welcome back to our thirteenth spectacular Wanwisa Wednesday! Be sure to check out her previous posts I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII for more fabulous wedding inspiration!

I loved thinking about what I wanted to use for my “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” details so I thought it would be fun to show you some great items and ideas out there for your something blue detail!

Add a little blue to your big day by having your florist wrap some gorgeous satin blue ribbons around the stem of your bouquet {via MarthaStewart.com}. Brides and Grooms with a sweet tooth should put out a tray of truffles wrapped in little wax-paper cups with dainty blue stripes {via MarthaStewart.com}. Perhaps a blue wreath of lush hydrangeas with a monogram center will do the trick {via MarthaStweart.com}. Add some luxury to your escort cards with light blue wax seals {via InstyleWeddings.com}. Is it always the bride that has to wear the “something blue” detail? why not the groom? Try some fun blue cuff links {via InstyleWeddings.com}. Traditionalists and the extra-emotional can use an embroidered hanky. Sweet and racy brides should check out Hanky Panky’s line of bridal thongs, my favorite style is the blue “Mrs.” Crystal thong {hankypank.com}. Want something less discreet? Try Cynthia Rowley’s blue soled bridal shoes or Mindy Weiss’s blue crystal “I do” shoe embellishment. For a blue after-thought, try Mindy Weiss’ sweet “Newlyweds on Board” sign for a stylish exit. Sophisticated couples should serve a blue martini {via MarthaStewart.com}. Classic brides can’t go wrong with vintage blue-gray pearl earrings from Carole Tanenbaum’s Vintage Collection.

What are your “something blue” ideas?

Until next Wednesday! Xoxo Wanwisa

I love the "I Do" stickers for the bottom of the shoes- SO adorable! I’d never seen them before!

Love the embroidered hankies! Such an elegant accessory on your wedding day. This is why I enjoy creating personalized wedding handkerchiefs.
