Southern Weddings

Welcome back to our fifth fabulous Wanwisa Wednesday! Be sure to check out Part I, II and III and IV. Enjoy~

The flowers, the lighting, a grand cake and all the glamour that come with wedding design can wow your guests, keep that “wow”-factor going by treating your guests to some really unique, gorgeous and tasty confection to take home. Monogram gifts and pretty homegoods like candles are great wedding favors, but you can also win your guests’ hearts through their, you guessed it, stomachs! Have a look at some of my favorites – I guarantee you, these treats will be the “icing on top” of your very special day!

If you’re planning a Parisian theme wedding, there is nothing more fantastic than Parisian Macarons. Go for interesting flavors in modern packaging via Paulette Macarons. Want interesting cupcakes? Check out Whole Food Market’s cityscapes cupcakes; they’re organic, over-the-top and scrumptious! Like your cupcakes a little less frilly? Sprinkles Cupcakes’ clean and modern looking cupcakes come on stands, trays and pre-packaged in chic single-boxes. Nostalgic brides and grooms, have a look at The Chocolate Bar’s Three Tart’s retro bars in truly unique flavors like Salted Pretzel Dark Chocolate Bars. Want a sophisticated dessert? Try giving your guests mini-parfaits in take-away acrylic containers like Chocolate Banana, Black and White Rice Pudding and Summer Pudding Parfaits pictured here. Cherry Blossom white chocolate details, dress up mini-red velvet cakes from Vosges Chocolates. While we’re on the topic of chocolates, check out Vosges’ Flying Chocolate Pig (they’re Bacon-flavored; a weird but yummy combination)! Looking for a cool treat? Try serving some gelato with customized wooden spoons from Paper+Cup or maybe some Ciao Bella Gelato Ottimo Gelato Sandwiches from Saks Fifth Avenue. Bring your guests back to childhood days with a sophisticated version of S’mores (via Martha Stewart) or Mrs. Prindable’s chocolate covered apples! Last but not least, how can anyone resist fried dough? Serve up some “coffee and donuts,” the gorgeous treat pictured here is from my own wedding…oh how I love deep fried sweetness!

Until we meet again next Wednesday! Xoxo Wanwisa
