by in Contests on

Hello Southern belles!  We have another nifty little product to give away today.  All of us women, from time to time, have a little problem with undergarments….  you know, clothing staying in place, unwanted exposure (gasp!).  Luckily, there is a company that is here to fix all that “bugz” us…introducing {Bug Catcherz}.  So to all you strapless wedding gown wear-ers out there, Bug Catcherz has (quite literally) got you covered on your big day!

Win: One of three Lacebugz formal wear packs.  There will be three winners for this one!

Contest:  This is an easy one.  Just leave us a comment telling us about your dream wedding dress (that will hopefully stay in place thanks to Bug Catcherz!).

A winner will be chosen at random this Friday November 14th at midnight!

I found my dream dress. It’s a strapless drop waist in ivory satin with a blush colored sash that ties at the waist. I’m not a busty girl so maybe Bug Catcherz can keep me from tugging at my dress to make sure it stays up.

  2. avatar Lindsey reply

My dream dress is a simple, strapless Vera Wang gown…the Bug Catcherz would certainly help! Thanks!

  3. avatar angelique reply

My dream dress would definitely be anything from Melissa Sweet’s collection. Romantic and BEAUTIFUL…and hopefully…all in one place with Bug Catcherz!

  4. avatar notsojenny reply

i don’t believe my dream dress exists but i’m trying like heck to prove myself wrong. my dream dress has a v-neck front, deep v back, trumpet shape and a mix of satin and lace. so far everything i’ve found is too much of one thing and not exactly what i’m looking for. i’ve found many gorgeous dresses but just not the dream one yet. with a dress that has straps you always need something to hold any other straps underneath it.

  5. avatar Anna reply

I looooove the Felice style dress from Melissa Sweet. I imagine it’s not the typical dream dress, but I want it for MY big day!!

  6. avatar Lilly Catastic reply

My dream dress is a beautiful satin dress that just so happens to slip and slide on my bust. Basically, the bug catcher tape is a must for me.

  7. avatar Esti reply

I found my dream dress! It’s a strapless with fabric wrapped around the bodice, then tied up with lace that drapes down the side! I got it at a Fundraiser for the Women’s Exchange in Bmore, how lucky was that!?

  8. avatar kwolyniak reply

I will be wearing my dream dress on my wedding day— it is ‘chanel’ by enzoani… and has a strapless silhouette with soft illusion straps— so these goodies your giving away would be GREAT to win…

  9. avatar ringo reply

I found my dream dress a few days ago. It’s a one strap dress, but the Bug Catcherz will definitely be handy in keeping the other side up!

  10. avatar Silvia reply

My dream wedding gown is kind of flowy– obviously a lightweight fabric. It is mildly fitted, but not corset-like. I’d like off-the-shoulder lace sleeves and a sweetheart neckline, and other lacey details throughout. Something simple, but very girly and just pretty.

  11. avatar alison reply

My dream wedding dress is my grandmother’s gown…but women seemed a lot smaller in the 1930s! it’s about 4" too short in the arms, way too narrow in the shoulders, and far too short in length. Also, it’s a bit yellowed. So I’m in the market for something vintage, off-white, and one-of-a-kind.

  12. avatar Abbie reply

My dream dress is lace with a slip underneath that is not sewn in… these would be perfect!

  13. avatar aylee reply

I got my dress already and it’s a sheath dress with spaghetti straps. The bug catcher would a big help coz when I bend over, the neckline reveals more than I want to reveal!

  14. avatar Kenzie reply

My dream dress is ivory with a v cut front. The back will be low and "V" all the way down to one side of my lower back with a rose at the tip of the "v". There would be beaded work on the top front and would trace all the way in the back against the edge of the top. It be tight right under my breasts and then loose and flowy down to the floor. :)

  15. avatar Mary reply

My dream dress is a simple strapless Vera Wang with lots of detail on the back – The train draws up to one side, and there is a swath of fabric that hangs off the back. A pink velvety vintage sash layered over one in matte champagne completes it with flowers in my hair! And of course, since it’s strapless, I’m gonna need a lil help keepin the girls in check. That’s where the Bug Catcherz come in.. :)

  16. avatar Kylee reply

My dream dress is my simple but glamorous silk satin Badgley Mischka mermaid dress. Strapless with a sweetheart neckline and v back! With my less that desirable chest size I need all the help I can get to hold it up… Help Bug Catcherz!

  17. avatar Lisa Jeffries reply

Years ago I would’ve thought of my self as a princess ballgown-type of girl, but now that I’m leaning more and more toward a wedding in Jamaica with a big party to follow… I’m thinking satiny silhouette kind of like the one from the "Baby got back" first dance video… you girls SO know which video I’m talking about :-)

  18. avatar Tara reply

My dream dress is the Vienna from the Amsale Blue Label collection. It has a plunging lace neckline that could easily make for a wedding wardrobe malfunction without something like Bug Catcherz to save the day.

  19. avatar Chelsey reply

Any Mellisa Sweet dress would be my dream dress. They are so romantic.

  20. avatar Regina reply

My dream wedding dress would make me look enhance my assets and hide my non-assets and most importantly be easy to dance the night away in.

  21. avatar Marissa reply

I designed my dream dress after my favorite cocktail dress of my late grandmother (or Oma as I called her). She was so elegant, classy and a real style icon for me. I wanted to honor her on my special day- but still be me. I know I’ll feel a connection with her as Im walking down the isle.

  22. avatar JDwedding09 reply

My dream dress is the "Camelot" dress that Kevin Costner’s wife wore! PS I can never find good underthings so I would love this!

  23. avatar Carla reply

I just purchased/ordered my dream dress Saturday. It’s Casablanca 1900 and I KNOW that having a stash of Bug Catcherz will save the day for me and my bridesmaids (once we figure out what THEY are going to wear!). I’m older than most brides (I’ll be 42 on the big day), I’m not a twig, and the "girls" tend to drag things south at the least appropriate of times so having something that will help keep everything in place will be a lifesaver.

  24. avatar Liz reply

My ideal wedding dress would be A-line and off the shoulder! It would be simple but elegant!

  25. avatar Ali reply

My dream dress has lots of flow and flowers. Whimsical and elegant. I have not found it yet.

  26. avatar Josie reply

Vintage, cream, tea-length, with that huge ’50s-style poofiness!

  27. avatar swiss girl reply

well, my fav wedding dress is this one: http://www.shopofbrides.com/shopexd.asp?id=2420 i love the design veeery much and i hope, that they will have it when my big day comes in around one year!!!! i love the glitter and elegance of the whole gown and i think it would be just perfect for a winter wedding (that my BF and i am dreaming of…)!swiss girl – rahel from switzerland ;)

  28. avatar LT reply

My dream dress has a princess cut skirt with golden small flowers designed lace on the bodice. I love sweetheart necklines but I would like to add scallops on the edge of it. Also, the same lace used on the bodice will be used as a bolero style jacket with one button in front. At the back will be a low V shape cut to add a little sexiness to the gown.

  29. avatar Kim reply

My dream wedding dress is something that is different enough to not be "plain jane" but timeless enough to not be TOO dated in photographs when I show my grandkids! I love Vera Wang and Amsale gowns so perhaps I will have success with one of these two designers!

  30. avatar Dana reply

I fell in love with Jim Hjelm’s JH8663 from Fall 2006 line. But I simply couldn’t afford it; it was more cost effective for me to have a seamstress recreate the dress & it was wonderful! With the low cut, I had to use stick on cups. Well, I only brought one pair on my wedding day & cut them wrong! So I ended up having to go down the aisle braless – thank goodness for good boob genes!

  31. avatar holly p reply

My dream wedding dress is a strapless ivory dress with a overlapping strips of material on the bodice and a flowing skirt, from TWO by Rosa Clara. Sadly it is only sold in Spain and Mexico, and I couldn’t find it online. But the dress I purchased is a good one too! :)

  32. avatar Jill reply

My dream wedding dress is a lace sheath by Jim Hjelm…one that will stay up to cover a scar I have towards the top of my bust. Yes, my insecurities have gotten the best of me and I am in a frantic search for a dress that will cover that scar and on our wedding day, I want to focus on my handsome groom and lovely friends and family, not on hiding that ugly scar!

  33. avatar Emma reply

My dream dress is an ivory and satin halterneck from Spanish label Pronovias. It has been trickier than I would have thought to find an ivory underwear set to "sit" under the dress – I am weeks from my first fitting and have resorted to panicked (and so far unsuccessful) Internet shopping to find something that will be a good fit for my dream dress. Tips appreciated!

  34. avatar Sarah reply

My dream dress will be Pakistani, so lots and lots of heavy fabric. with a dupatta (scarf) on my head. Let me tell, these dupattas are SUPER heavy, require a lot of pinning. It’d be nice to not see these pins! I hate it when a gorgeous wedding outfit is ruined by all the visible pins that are holding it up!!

  35. avatar Kenzie reply

1940s glamour, silk cut on the bias, something drapey and fitted through the hips. It’ll make my groom swoon!

  36. avatar Sarah reply

My dream wedding dress would be ivory white. with satin and lace. very regal looking but very very simple.

  37. avatar nelzbels reply

My dream dress would be classic and make my petite body womanly and beautiful.

  38. avatar Mollie reply

My dream dress would be a extremely flowy train with a fitted bodice and either an open back or some kind of bow/lace.

  39. avatar Andrea reply

My dream dress is a simple and romantic lace dress with cap sleeves, an open back, and a chapel train. i love the vintage look of beautiful lace and i hope to find such a dress for my big day!!

When I first scrolled through {Abigail Seymour Photography}‘s blog post on Lindsay + Jeff’s wedding, I was so sure it had to be in California.  But to my surprise it was North Carolina! Who knew there were beautiful wineries like this in North Carolina? The setting is just beautiful at {Raffaldini Vineyards & Winery}.  I adore the rose bouquets and the luminaries that line the sidewalks of the winery. Event planning by Lindsay Cheek of {Grace Leisure Events}.  Catering by {Winston’s Eatery} and music by {Bunn DJ Company}.  Thanks to the ladies at Abigail Seymour for sharing these images. Be sure to check out their {Blog} for more.

How did the two of you meet? We actually met in a wine bar. It must have been fate because Jeff had never been to that bar and didn’t even want to go in—his friend dragged him! I was trying to go home early because I had to fly out the next morning for business. I walked in with a group of girlfriends and unbeknownst to me, he saw me walk in. When we girls walked up to the bar, I noticed this tall guy in front of me and had this strange thought about him for some reason. I thought, what if this guy…who seems so cute from the back…turned around and that was my future husband? The thought was obviously fleeting because I was sick of waiting on him to get his drink and clear a spot at the bar! I turned to my girlfriends and said, “You know, I am just going to go home, I have to get up early and fly to Chicago.” That was when Jeff turned around and said, “You can’t go home yet!” I thought he was so cute and very interesting. He kept saying things to me that made him sound like a player, but for some reason I believed him! He told me he prayed for a girl a couple of years older than him and a girl with brown hair because the blonds weren’t working out! I believed him a little bit, but his Mom later confirmed that story! Before I left for the night, he complimented me on my blue eyes and told me he would call me the day I returned home from Chicago. He did!
Describe the proposal: It was Valentines Day and I knew not to get my hopes up because he always said he would “never propose on a national holiday, much less a cheesy one like Valentine’s Day.” We went to dinner, had a low key evening which was perfect and he sat me down at the dining room table with my laptop up, lit a candle, pulled up our song “Fix You” by Coldplay and played a picture slide show of us. I still didn’t realize he was proposing, I just thought he had done something sweet for V-Day. The last one asked me to marry him. I cried!
What attracted me to my husband was: His cuteness and his brutal honesty without caring if he sounded corny.
Why do you love your husband? He is very strong, affectionate, sweet, complimentary and loyal.

What attracted me to my wife was: She was happy and smiling when she walked in. She had this funky hat on, and I liked her voice.

A date we went on that we’ll always remember: Our first date at a pumpkin carving party at a friend’s house.
The weather on our wedding day was: Hot and beautiful!
What was the design inspiration for your wedding? We just wanted the happiest wedding around! That’s why we hired a jazz band for the ceremony music—it was happy and upbeat all the way until the wedding march. After we were pronounced husband and wife, they played “In the Mood” as the recessional!
Favorite design element of your big day: I loved the handmade luminaries a wonderful family friend made for me. All 150 of them! They lit up the place once the sun went down and provided a special touch when people left.
Tell us about finding your wedding dress: I bought it in Orlando, FL after finding it in a bridal magazine. It was the one!

Describe your wedding flowers: Beautiful Roses—very romantic! I loved the colors and I especially loved my bouquet. It was so heavy and big I had to switch hands in the middle of the ceremony!! A family friend who is a florist in Vermont did them for us. They were the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen!

Describe your wedding cake: Chocolate on Chocolate—need I say more???

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: The beautiful scenery—we felt like we were in Napa Valley, CA.

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? I don’t like planning things and attention to detail isn’t my forte. It was all a challenge, but somehow I pulled it off with help!
Scariest moment? Well the scariest was when I couldn’t find the flower that went in my hair or my earrings! I had already lost my veil and bought another one!
The most unexpected event on our wedding day was: A beautiful portrait of me that my mother had done. It was original and beautiful.
Three adjectives that describe the day are: Exciting, beautiful and fast!
What advice would you give to someone planning their wedding? Hope you have a great team backing you and you’ll be fine. Have a fabulous photographer and make sure to have a wedding planner for the big day.
Best advice or most memorable comment someone made to you during the wedding celebration. That it was such a happy wedding.
What’s next for you as a couple? Starting a family.

Congratulations to Lindsay + Jeff!  We wish you many great bottles of vino and happiness to come!

Well of course I love these because it was my wedding, but honestly, it turned out so much more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I guess the stress was worth it! I hope others decide to get married in the Napa Valley of North Carolina!

  2. avatar Louann Millar reply

The wedding was indeed beautiful and fun. All of that "attention to detail" resulted in a wonderful celebration in a very romantic environment. My husband and I have many great memories ourselves from Lindsay and Jeff’s big day.

  3. avatar Pat reply

Great picture of Linsay & Jeff taken through the vines – very romantic. Looks like everyone had a great day with perfect weather and beautiful location.

  4. avatar Pam Fuss reply

What a beautiful wedding to be a part of! What a great evening and a memorable wedding !

  5. avatar Fonz reply

Jeff & Linz: this was one of the most gorgeous weddings I’ve ever been to let alone have the honor to be a part of. The view was simply breathtaking and picturesque – like heaven on earth. Everyone at the wedding looked fantastic and you looked absolutely stunning! You two compliment each other so well that wherever you make an entrance together you instantly light up the room and command attention. I feel very blessed to have such a beautiful couple as you in my life. Thank you so much for including me in your special day as I will never forget it. I love you guys and wish you the very best.

  6. avatar Sean Pat reply

Unbelievable experience – I would of paid a cover charge to go to this wedding.

  7. avatar Aunt Cathy reply

I can still close my eyes and feel the romance and ambience of Lindsay’s and Jeff’s wedding at the Raffaldini Winery & Vinyards. Lindsay and Jeff could not have picked a better place to say their vows. As they look back, I know they will always feel that they absolutely made the best choices for location, wedding planner, photographer, Minister (Lindsay’s Uncle Gary), and all others who participated in such a memorable event. Family and friends played such an important role in every aspect of the wedding, which makes the experience even more special for the happy bride and groom. I know that Pam Fuss spent hours making the luminaries that glowed in the night – now that is love. The wedding pictures were the best I have ever seen. Lindsay and Jeff are just perfect together, and they can say their wedding was, as well. And, we must not forget the Fairfield Inn. What a beautiful hotel for the wedding party and guests – couldn’t have been better – Excellent Accommodations!

  8. avatar Nancy Flynn reply

My husband and I drove our two teen-aged children from Western NY to NC for this beautiful wedding. We were so pleased to be able to be a part of their big day. It was magical.

  9. avatar Susan reply

I cannot believe that Vineyard is in NC, what a beautiful place to have a wedding…loved theVilla and the luminaries! Looks like you are in Tuscany!

  10. avatar Mike Gramm reply

Lindsay and Jeff’s wedding day will be remembered by all who attended for the spectacular surroundings and most importantly the overwhelming love and importance of the event. They have an incredible future ahead of them and it will be a privilege to be a part of their lives.Wishing you all the happiness that marriage can offer!

  11. avatar Jeff reply

Fantastic wedding, the location was perfect and everyone had a great time !! It was just the way Jeff and Lindsay had wanted their wedding to be, a celebration and party for all to enjoy and remember. Raffaldini’s location with the mountains in the background during the day and the lights of the moon and chalet at night made for a majical setting. Thanks for the memories. May you both have a happy and loving marriage together !!
