How I got into weddings: Summerfield Farms began in 2012 as a grass-fed cattle farm with a growing on-farm store, The Market. The 600+ acre farm boasts two gorgeous barns which begged for attention. So The Barn at Summerfield Farms was born! Since then, we have renovated both barns a handful of times to create rustic charm with luxurious amenities.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Traditions. The best weddings are bountiful with traditions, many passed from generation to generation. We love seeing a Southern wedding day tradition bring a family together.
Favorite part of a wedding day? We have so many favorite parts! The morning of the big day and greeting the couple and their families. Feeling their excitement and experiencing that with them. Of course, seeing the groom when he sees the bride for the first time is another favorite!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? To enjoy each other! Slow down and revel in this special day and time in your lives. Take in the love and joy surrounding you with all your family and friends.
Dream travel destination? Tahiti, Bora Bora, and the Maldives I’m sure you see a theme with this one!
Favorite Southern city? Other than Summerfield, NC, Charleston, SC. We love a good Low Country Boil!
Early bird or night owl? You have to be both when you work at a wedding venue, and we love it!
Favorite pie flavor? Blueberry! Our team grows the most delicious blueberries in the summertime!
Favorite biscuit topping? Some local jam from our farm store, The Market – yum!
