Morgan Scott Films
We love that the Morgan Scott Films team encourages their brides and grooms to relax and savor the moment. The first few seconds of one of their films brought tears to our eyes, so we believe they’re doing their job!

How I got into weddings: I started shooting video in junior high when a family friend bought me a new camcorder. I loved making home videos and filmed as much as I could. When I was in high school I would make documentary videos for the sports teams, and I kept doing it because I loved seeing the finished product. Later on, a family friend asked me to film her wedding. It was so different, but it felt like I was making a real movie. I loved the creativity I was able to put into making that video, and so began the love of making cinematic wedding films!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? We have had the privilege of getting to know and work with some wonderful couples, many of whom have become friends, and I like to attribute that to the Southern qualities in our clients! Their friendliness and kindness is one of my favorite parts about our brides and grooms, and even their friends and families. We always feel like a part of the family! Another thing we love about weddings in the South, is the abundance of charming venues. They have so much character and history, and the weather here allows for some amazing settings for our films. We also love the vendors! There is a great community of vendors in this area, and it’s not about competition, but about encouraging creativity. The community of vendors make it wonderful to call the South “home”.
Favorite part of a wedding day? The entire wedding day is so much fun, but I think prep is our favorite. Everything tends to be more laid back so we have a chance to get creative with our shots and get to know everyone a little better.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms?Relax!! Every wedding day ends with the bride and groom being married. In our opinion, the best wedding films we have created were not the ones where everything stayed right on schedule with nothing going wrong. The best weddings are the ones where the couple is overflowing with excitement just to be getting married, and takes the time to enjoy the entire day, regardless of how a timeline plays out.
