Heart’s Content Events

Adrienne fell in love with weddings as a little girl, so it’s only fitting that she now designs weddings for brides in Virginia and beyond! We love that she treats every big day as if it were her own, and aims to satisfy her couples’ hearts’ desires.

Heart’s Content Events and Design is a wedding planning, designing, and floral studio that specializes in the art of marriage and all the joy that is to come. I treat every couple as if they are my own family, and every wedding as if it were my own, because this day is just that special and just that important! I’m so blessed to walk alongside my couples, become friends with them, and get to know their heart’s desires, dislikes, quirks, and everything else that makes them special, to create a personalized wedding experience that highlights their love for one another and everyone around them.

How I got into weddings: My mom was a church organist and was well sought-after for weddings. Each Saturday, she took my sister and me to weddings where she played, and I quickly fell in love with the grandeur, the joy, and the sacredness of two individuals sharing their love with one another. It’s only fitting that when I was planning my own wedding, my mother encouraged me to turn my passion into a business to bless others’ marriages.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? It’s all about family. Big or small, each individual plays a significant role in this event, and couples will go out of their way to make sure that every person who attends feels so loved and served well!
Favorite part of a wedding day? When I send the bride down the aisle, I always look down at the groom. His face – that sweet reaction to the nervousness, excitement, and joy of marrying the love of his life – is my favorite part ever! I weep every time at that moment!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? My biggest piece of advice would be to remember why you are getting married in the first place. Planning can be so chaotic, and it’s easy to become stressed by all the details surrounding the day. But what matters is your love for the person you’re about to marry, and spending intentional and joyful moments with the people who matter most in your life.
