Where you call home: Manassas, VA (by way of Alexandria, VA)
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: I am proud to be named one of the area’s top wedding planners by The Knot. We have received the Bride’s Choice award every year since its induction in 2009. I am most excited about our thirty plus (and counting) five star reviews on Wedding Wire and our countless number of happy brides.
Location/coverage: Virginia, Maryland, DC and beyond.
How I got into weddings: I come from a big family that loves to party and celebrate life’s blessings. During my junior year in college, I decided to take a wedding planning and management course that was being offered for the very first time at my university. A passion for planning and weddings was soon uncovered. When I achieved the highest grade in all sections of the course, I knew I had found my niche. Post graduation, I took additional courses in wedding planning and event management and opened my company doors in 2006.
Favorite part of a wedding day? It always warms my heart when I see our couples dancing, socializing and interacting with their guests at the reception. Your wedding day is the only time you will have all the people who are nearest and dearest to you in one location. I always encourage our couples to leave the details to us and to relish the once in a lifetime moment.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? You only get to do it once, so you have to do it right! Hire and trust the professionals. Doing so will reduce stress and allow you and your family to enjoy the planning experience.
Dream travel destination? Hawaii. The Four Seasons Hotel in Maui to be exact!
Early bird or night owl? Early bird
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Red velvet PLEASE! (Red Velvet = One of my favorite desserts).
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie? Pottery Barn. My husband will tell you that I’m obsessed with their monogram collection!
