We fell in love while telling others’ love stories! Our creativity and passion drew us together and our love is the glue that holds Bride Film together. We constantly push each other to think differently for every one of our couples. To put it bluntly, we are obsessed with capturing your story, because after just getting married ourselves, we know that every moment of your wedding celebration is important. Every moment of your Bride Film will bring you back to those precious emotions you felt as you vowed to grow old together.
Name(s): MaryClare and Chris Serio
Where you call home: New Orleans
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Well, MaryClare’s mom/Chris’ mother-in-law/Mamma P is our number one fan and studio manager, so we are excited to show her every new film! We love sharing with her the new details we see at each wedding, and especially the touching words we hear from clients emotionally reliving their wedding day through their film.
Location/coverage: New Orleans and destination
How I got into weddings: We always joke that neither of us has ever had a “real” job! We both graduated in broadcast journalism, so telling stories with a camera and mic in hand has always been our passion. We were drawn to weddings separately because of the happy, intimate love of people coming together. After joining forces, we realized filming weddings gives us the unique opportunity to work and travel together, meet new people, and create films that move people and preserve their memories for generations to come.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Food… music… more food… need we say more? Only at a Southern wedding will you indulge in shrimp and grits, gumbo, AND beignets and then take your happy tummy out to the streets to dance the night away with the most fabulous jazz band and a drink in hand. Southern weddings have a charm and vibrancy second to none!
Favorite part of a wedding day? It’s hard to choose a favorite part of the day because each wedding is unique, but the great moments are what we chase! Whether a zip of the dress or a flash of a new watch, these quiet moments are our favorite parts.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Take a few peaceful moments after your ceremony to look into each others’ eyes and truly feel the love and importance of the day. You became husband and wife… that’s huge! One of our favorite moments on our wedding day was looking out at the sunset, holding one another. The rest of the day, have fun together! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
Dream travel destination? The Amalfi Coast… or pretty much anywhere in Italy!
Favorite Southern city? New Orleans! Savannah is beautiful too :)
Early bird or night owl? Night owls
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Red velvet cake… we are suckers for a tasty cake!
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie? Tough choice! Anthropologie for the vibrant, fun colors, and Pottery Barn for the peaceful, beach feel.
Succulents or peonies? Succulents
