Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Well I’m a Blue Ribbon Vendor, duh! I’ve also held the title of Level 3 Kerastase Tech artist for the last six years. I am an educator and creative director at my home salon of Michael Brothers Hair, mother of a sweet two-year-old, Palmer Lynn, and a friend/automatic bridesmaid to every bride I meet! (I have more, but those are really what fuels the heart of my business.)

How I got into weddings: I’ve always loved the intricate detail of an updo. I could watch my boss and mentor do them for hours when I was still in beauty school. I stepped into my first wedding hair assistant job seven years ago, and the rest is history. Getting to make someone feel like the most beautiful version of themselves on their most important day is unlike anything I’ve ever felt before. I was hooked! It’s truly why I do what I do. Plus, who doesn’t love the details of a Southern wedding?!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? My favorite thing about Southern weddings is that the focus is really so much about the love: love from family and friends, the love the couple feels. It’s all surrounded by a lot of positive emotion and I couldn’t think of a better way to start a life together.
Favorite part of a wedding day? There is something about when the mother of the bride sees her daughter fully dressed and ready to walk down the aisle – 9 times out of 10, I tear up right along with her… ok, 10 out of 10!
Dream travel destination? Scotland
Favorite Southern city? Pensacola Beach
Early bird or night owl? I tend to be both! Is insomniac an option?
Favorite pie flavor? Pecan, because I like the sweet with a slight crunch
