Engage10 :: The Breakers

Hi y’all!  What a week! Emily and I were at the Engage!10 conference at The Breakers and a little somethin’ somethin’ hit news stands while we were there!  We’ve been so busy that we haven’t had time to soak it all in.  The love on Twitter is overwhelming!  Thank y’all SO MUCH for the amazing support.  We put our hearts and souls in V3 and we’re so glad you love it as much as we do!

    I didn't realize all conferences had those ribbons that you attach to the bottom of your badge. We have them at my professional conference, too. The longer you're there, the more ribbons you seem to need. I'm up to 3 right now. :)

    While I have yet to flip through V3 (just returned from the honeymooon), I am quite jealous you were both able to attend Engage! It happened to fall right in the middle of our honeymoon. Looks like you gals had a great time, and have loved flipping through all of the photos!

YEEHAW!!! V3 Arrives Tomorrow + Our Virtual Launch Party!

We’re so so excited!  Tomorrow is the big day that V3 arrives on newsstands! SO, lots of folks have asked if we’re having a launch party.  Our schedules are so packed till Christmas, that we just don’t have time!  Soooooo…..

Tomorrow, we’re doing something a little different.  Emily and Lara will be at Engage10 celebrating at the big closing night gala and we want y’all to join us!  In celebration that is.  So, break out the champagne, put on your party tunes, give the cat some extra catnip, go have a fun dinner with friends, have some Krispy Kreme, an in-office dance party, hodown, a little jig in your car, or order up your favorite take-out and let’s all celebrate!  All over the South, tweet us how you are celebrating tomorrow night (pictures are a bonus!!!) with the hashtag #V3Launch.  One lucky celebrator (is that even a word!?) will be entered to win $50 in new iTunes and a whole bunch of y’all will win some fun surprises that we have up our sleeves.

So, get on it and start planning your V3 launch celebration for tomorrow night!  We can’t wait to [virtually] celebrate with y’all!

    As an event planner I have followed SW blog faithfully with daily visits to gain inspiration for our upcoming events, but I just got my FIRST EVER copies of the magazine in the mail since they are not sold in Southern Indiana. I now know what I have been missing! At times you might mistake the southern portion of our state as a southern territory since it is worlds different from Northern Indiana and many of our brides want a touch of southern elegance at their weddings. Southern Weddings Magazine does an amazing job at capturing, showcasing, and inspiring that SOUTHERN CHARM! I applaud the SW ladies for their amazing work on a fabulous product and will faithfully order all future copies.

Engage10 :: The Breakers

Well, ladies and gents, it’s that time again.  Even with all of this craziness going on, Lara and I are picking up and heading to The Breakers in Palm Beach next week for a few days for the latest Engage wedding conference.  For those of you unfamiliar with the Engage events, they are twice yearly luxury wedding business summits where some of the most exciting people in the industry come together to learn and grow.  Lara has been several times before; this will be my first trip.  You can read a little more about Lara’s most recent experience on her blog here.

Okay, okay, I guess Darcy Miller, Carly Roney (who I had an awkard encounter with in an elevator when I interned at The Knot, by the way — think she’ll remember me?!), Randy Fenoli, Sylvia Weinstock, Marcy Blum, Maria McBride, etc., etc., etc. can stand up to those stunning interiors and exteriors.  They are pretty fabulous, themselves, I suppose.  Oh yes, and that other speaker, Lara Casey, I hear she’s pretty fabulous, too.

    I would have loved to be there. Being a part of this would be so amazing for me right now. Its only an hour and a half from my house, but between needing new gear + my mortgage + and my student loans, it was not possible this year. To next year!
