Today is the first day of fall, and we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the season of crunchy leaves and brisk breezes than with this snuggly shoot from Gina Zeidler! Lacey and Jason celebrated their fourh anniversary in part with this shoot, and Gina really made it something special for them with the addition of her subtle styling skills. She was going for a deep, intimate, reflective vibe, and though I think she nailed it, there’s also plenty of fun to be had! (Stuffing each other’s faces with marshmallows? Yes, please! Almost as good as the first bite of cake on a wedding day.) Read on for a few more details. And happy fall!
Describe a date you went on that you’ll never forget: Jason surprised me with a special weekend to Duluth. I had never been there before and it was the best weekend to go, in October when all of the colors of the trees were changing.
What have you learned most about marriage in the last four years? Communication and compromise are so, so important!
What advice would you give to someone planning her wedding? I would tell her to remember that the wedding is about your husband and you, and not all about your guests. Don’t forget to have fun and just relax! Also, the most important takeaway is a wonderful photographer and a wonderful videographer, because that is what you are going to have years from your weding day.
What’s next for you as a couple? A new addition to our family! We have a three-year-old, Olivia Faith, and our second daughter, Lylah Hope, will be here in September.
Congratulations, Jason and Lacey! Good luck with your new baby girl!
S'mores!! What a fantastic way to celebrate an engagement!!
Can we find out where they got those giant marshmallows? Yum!
LOVE anniversary shoots! I've got to come up with some amazing for mine!
Magical photos, romantic and fun. A great way to commemorate an anniversary. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple on the upcoming addition to the family and best wishes for many more happy anniversaries.
