Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit! A new month and a brand new site! Happy December! Last winter, we started cooking something to help you get in the holiday spirit. After 12 long months of waiting for the big reveal, it’s finally here! A little sneak peek from our friend Shannon Sewell of some major winter goodness coming on the blog next week. So, get that hot cocoa ready and snuggle up for a whole lot of snowy prettiness! More to come…

Howdy, from Katharine!

by in Personal on

Welcome to my blog! (I’ve always wanted to say that.) I’m not as crafty as our friend, Emily, who actually does have her own blog, so this will have to suffice as my little corner of the blogosphere. But what a cute corner it is, right? I especially like the nifty seersucker background.

As the Southern Weddings “anti-bride,” I’m not your typical wedding editor. Paper, flowers, DIY projects – they’re not really my style. But throw a pair of jewel-tone stilettos, traditional black-and-white decor or a blingtastic engagement ring my way, and I am sold! (I’m also a sucker for sweet, real-life love stories and celebrity gossip- hello, Perez Hiliton! Appropriately, then, while Emily’s got in’s and out’s of wedding planning on lock over in her SW niche, my blog will be all about the glitz and glam (and, occasionally, the sweet side) of the “I dos.”

What can you expect? Think weekly shoe finds, spotlights on celebrity engagement rings – and fabulous bling, in general! – and the 411 on your favorite stars’ impending nuptials. Other things I love? Candy. Lots and lots of candy. You know there’s going to be some pretty sweet candy bar inspiration on here. (Pun absolutely intended.)

As a newlywed, I may even sneak in a few snippets of our marital bliss. But my new husband’s such a cutie – and a total ham -, that I’m sure you’ll forgive me :)
