Y’all know that we don’t just run this blogI’ve been dreaming of something new for a year now and am thrilled to announce the first-ever Making Things Happen™ Workshop Tour :: an intensive designed to fire you up for 2010.

I’ve been blessed to be overwhelmed with new consulting clients since I started Lara Casey Reps in June and have had the honor of working with some of the best wedding professionals in the business.  In order to accommodate the influx of new requests and my ever-growing schedule, I’ll be cutting back on individual consults in 2010 and traveling the country with my amazing team to give these workshops. From branding to bold moves and everything in between, I’m inviting 20 people to join me and some incredible guest speakers (Jeremy Cowart, Jose Villa, Jeff Holt, Nick Onken, Christy and Blair from Junebug Weddings, and Stacie Francombe from Get Married, to name a few) in a select group of cities for an intensive like no other.  I’m fired up and intend to make sure you leave feeling the same way.  I’ll be asking attendees vital (i.e. hard) questions and require that this intimate group be ready to lay it all out on the table.  This workshop is not for the faint of heart, but for new and established creative professionals (photographers, planners, artists, writers and entrepreneurs.. not just wedding pros) who really want to change, grow, and harness their full potential in the new year.

Because these workshops are based around small groups, I will be taking the time to evaluate each attendee’s individual brand, including websites, blogs, social media presence, and everything in between.  In some ways, I believe I give my best advice in the first 5 minutes of a regular consult, and that’s the same sort of gut reaction and individual attention I’ll offer in my workshops.

I would love to meet you in Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles (with Jose Villa), Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta (with Stacie Francombe), Nashville (with Jeremy Cowart), Las Vegas, Denver, New York City (with Nick Onken), Washington, DC, Raleigh, Hawaii, or Pittsburgh in the coming months.  To register, or to see more dates and details, click here (official website coming soon!).  *Dallas friends, the whole SW staff will be there for that stop next week.  We would love to meet you in Texas!

This is your year and my goal is to make sure you harness it to its fullest potential.  Why am I doing this?  Because I’ve come to realize that life is just too short.  Every moment should be lived with a sense of adventure, excitement, and knowing that you are on the right path in your life’s work.  It’s time, ya’ll.  It’s time to make big things happen in your business and in your life.  You know where you want to go.  Let’s do this.

Want the inside scoop from someone who has experienced #MTH2010? Watch this and check out what people are saying.   Also, be sure to read my good friend Nick Onken’s post today about making things happen and the post that started this whole thing.

I can’t wait to start this journey and meet everyone on the way!  Happy 2010!  Who’s coming with us?

Got my box of magazines! It had a hand written post-card addressed to the "King of Ring Shots" and his rad wife…which most certainly isn’t me! Just thought I’d let you know in case you wanted to re-send his note!

At 3pm on the dot yesterday, the FedEx man pulled up and four excited girls ran out to meet him.  The magazine had arrived!  We filmed the whole thing, but are too giddy and embarrassed to post it.  I think the FedEx guy felt like a superstar, as we basically tried to climb in his truck.  Needless to say, we love it!  The cover is unreal.  It’s so beautiful we were all officially distracted from work after its arrival.  Today at 5:30pm EST, the cover (and the incredible photographer behind it) will be revealed here on the blog.  If you’re in Atlanta tonight, you’ll get to see it in person!

We’re all road-tripping to Hotlanta early this morning for our launch party tonight at Bridal Bar.  We hope you’ll join us to celebrate an exciting year and the release of this second issue.  I’m pretty excited that we’ll all have our men in tow – Emily‘s John, Katharine‘s Kyle and Ari. (Whitney is bringing her awesome mom!)  And I, naturally, have a few tricks up my sleeve for the party.  Y’all know I love surprises.

If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, do so here.  And if you don’t have your party dress yet, get on it!

CONTEST: Guess which one of us (Lara, Katharine, Whitney, Emily) is wearing each of the dresses above to the party tonight and win a copy of the magazine, a box of Moonpies, and a copy of the hilarious book, Butter My Butt and Call Me a Biscuit.  Contest ends today at 5:30pm EST.

See y’all tonight!
