Welcome back to our eighteenth spectacular Wanwisa Wednesday! Be sure to check out her previous posts I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI  and XVII for more fabulous wedding inspiration!

Happy New year everyone! This Wanwisa Wednesday, I’d like to share some of my favorite centerpiece looks that feature fresh and new color combos, unique floral and fauna, and other off-the-beaten-path design elements … it’s a post that’ll bring a little something new to the New Year! Enjoy!

I love how a little touch of black instantly creates a sophisticated look when combined with happy and casual yellows and creams in the first table top design by Belle Fleur via Brides.com. The second look combines a clean modern look with silver and pewter antique shades that results in an overall fresh and divine look {created by Artfool via Brides.com}. The last look I’m featuring from Brides.com is Daivd Beahm Design’s glimmering Orange look where modern glass candle holders add elegance to a sunset-hued marigold “pond” sprinkled with candlelight – gorgeous! Look beyond wedding-centric design for something unique like Colin Cowie’s all-green design for an InStyle bash at New York’s Guggenheim Museum where green flowers sit beside arrangements of grass and cabbage. Check out another design by Colin Cowie that features a very affordable flower – daisies; the dramatic color scheme of fushia and saffron filling up dramatic long tables says anything but budget! The next two table settings are by uber talented Preston Bailey; the first, a cozy yellow look with a Spanish flair and the second, an effortless look of cream and sage showcasing a dramatic pond of various ivory arrangements and floating gardenias. The bottom row features smaller-scale ideas from Martha Stewart {I simply can’t create in inspiration board without a little Martha!}; a witty use of tin tea containers make a lovely centerpiece design, the combination of dramatic purple with succulents prove to be very of-the-moment, tiny flowers in tiny vases can wow your guests when arranged in a unique fashion, and you can never go wrong with peonies arranged in various ivory bowls!

Until next week! Xoxo Wanwisa

Congrats on the magazine launch! I’m going to order one, since I don’t think Washington (state) is Southern. :) The cover titles alone are having me salivating! And an awesome, inspiring post today, I love to see Gerbera daises in arrangements, they are so fun and fresh. And Colin Cowie using veggies? Priceless.

The most important moment of your wedding day will most likely occur during your ceremony, so when deciding on a venue, let your girlhood dreams of the moment when you say “i do” guide you! Whether it be a gorgeous garden wedding where you recite your vows under a giant oak tree or a glamorous affair where you light a unity candle under a floral canopy in an opulent tent, this Wanwisa Wednesday, I bring you a little inspiration for every ceremony style. Enjoy!

I don’t usually go for rose petals, but this photograph has convinced me otherwise. Simply stunning! Romantic yet rustic. I just love it.

Look to beautiful seasonal fruits as inspiration for your big day! Not only do they pay tribute to the time of year of your wedding, using in-season and local fruit is a cost-effective way to add some low-key glamour to everything – from your centerpieces to your glorious five tier cake!

Take cue from Martha Stewart Wedding’s gallery of fruit inspiration and create a beautiful seating card display using pretty fruits like pomegranates, or serve up some fruit flavored Vodka during cocktail hour, and give your guests some adorable caramel apples to take home! Have your calligrapher work with fruit for a unique seating card idea {via Nancy Howell Calligraphy}. Spice up your wedding day floral designs with tropical fruits {via LMD Floral Events} or add a bounty of grapes to a luscious purple arrangement {via Fleurs}. Divine fruit motifs are especially lovely on letterpress invitations like this suite from Dauphine Press. And top it all off by adding fresh fruit on your cake – how chic? {via Instyle Weddings}.

I hope these “fruitful” inspirations will help you add a lovely extra touch to your celebration!

Until next Wednesday! Xoxo Wanwisa
