For those in th works of planning a chic ceremony look then this post from Karen Tran of {Karen Tran Florals}, is for you! This week Karen shows us the trendy way to have an outdoor ceremony that will have all guests never wanting to leave the ceremony.  You can find even more of Karen’s inspiring posts here: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII and XIV.

Ceremony décor should reflect your personality and the setting of your venue. Don’t be afraid to think outside traditional designs and embrace a chic and modern approach. For today’s brides who are seeking a fresh new look, may I suggest the following? Playful floral sphere balls, hanging chandeliers, Orchid lei curtains or swirly petal path? Go ahead, go chic and have fun!

Jennie + Cade treated their wedding guests to a fantastic downtown celebration.  The roof top celebration took place at Fort Worth’s {Reata Restaurant}.  We love the cupcake tower and the beautiful shots of Jenni + Cade having a splendid time.  Thanks again to photographer, {Stacy Reeves} for sharing this wedding with us and be sure to check out her post on the wedding on her {Blog}.

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? The guest list.
Were there any special family traditions you included in the wedding? Cade’s uncle, Jim, wrote and performed our ceremony. He included quotes from the New and Old Testament and Kahlil Gibran.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? The “I Do’s!”
Scariest moment? The day before the wedding, Cade’s Uncle, Cade and I went to the Rose Garden for a final viewing of the setting. The wind was blowing so hard that we could not hear one another and a microphone made it worse. Thankfully, the wind died down the next day.
Funniest moment? My aunts and cousins have a tradition that includes breaking into the bride and groom’s room and “wrapping” it for good luck. I’ve been a part of it for every other family wedding, and Cade has been initiated into it as well. Since we knew they would attempt it, we didn’t tell anyone where we were staying, which was at a hotel close to the reception. Nevertheless, after the ceremony and before the reception, they broke into our home to begin the wrapping. Our house alarm was triggered, and while we were taking photos, the alarm company began calling both of us. During the break-in, my aunt unintentionally called my mom and the whole situation was recorded on her voice mail. On the recording, the alarm is sounding, my aunts are screaming, and my cousin yells “Too late! We’re committed now! GO!”. Thankfully, the police did not arrive at our house and my family eventually returned to the reception. I still find rice around our bedroom.
Three adjectives that describe the day are: Wonderful, exciting, perfect!
What advice would you give to someone planning their wedding? Keep it meaningful for the two of you. You can’t make everyone else happy, and don’t get wrapped up in the details to the extent that you can’t enjoy your day. Plan it how you want it, and whatever happens, happens. But at the end of the day if you are married it will be a success.
Best advice or most memorable comment someone made to you during the wedding celebration. “Its an open bar?!?!”
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you looking forward to in the future? Home-improvement projects, work, travel, and being great puppy-parents.
Any DIY items? Cupcakes, Decorations, Wedding Ceremony, Invitations (Parents did them)

Congratulations to Jennie + Cade. We wish you the best and we think you’ll be terrific puppy-parents!

Gia from {betsywhite} never disappoints and this week is no exception. We love her color palette and the use of Majolica Blue in this romantic color scheme to add a pop of pizzazz. For those of you who can’t get enough of the bird cage veil Gia has incorporated one into this beautiful palette as well as two dresses any woman would love to have in their closet. Make sure to check out Gia’s color palette posts each week for some more wedding inspiration: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX.

From Gia: Combining a soft, pretty color like Rapture Rose with a deep blue makes a really wonderful and unexpected palette for the Fall.

The bride and bridesmaids: An antique ivory dress for the bride and rose-colored dresses for the bridesmaids would be lovely.
The groom and groomsmen: The men could wear navy suits with white shirts and navy and pink striped ties. If the Fall wedding is taking place in a warm climate, khaki colored suits could also work with navy and pink striped ties.
Accents and Details: Arrangements in shades of pink and deep ivory would look really beautiful against deep blue linens.
