Oh boy oh boy oh boy do we have a fun start to the week for y’all! You know we’re usually real weddings all day all the time (with a few bridals and engagement seshes thrown in for good measure), but today and tomorrow we’re going to treat you to a few of the inspiration shoots that have come through our email doors. We hope there will be a little something for everyone, regardless of your Southern wedding style (or, you know, Southern Weddings style. Ha!).
The first comes to us from photographer Catie Ronquillo and planner Lauren Kelly. Read on for even more details behind this fun and fashionable shoot!
From Catie:
“We took the idea of a Southern wedding and deconstructed it. The scene was set by pulling fantastic elements such as old typewriters, iron bedframes, wooden trunks, and spools (that are typically found in Southern antique shops) into a natural atmosphere. We wanted to rethink the vintage trend that has been working its way through the industry and modernize it into something more appealing to the bride who craves hot pink lipstick with her pin curls. Our vision was to make the pops of color found in nature enough decoration to ensure a simply Southern wedding day without too much fuss.”
