Confession: I’m a bit of a magazine hoarder. While part of that may be due to my career field, the other reason is that I really do love looking back at past issues! No matter how old a magazine is, I always find an idea or two to take away for the season with every read. In the same vein, there are so many gorgeous editorials in our archives, so it’s always fun to revisit old favorites. Since we’re eagerly anticipating the dogwood season in North Carolina, it seems like the perfect time to take a peek back at V7‘s A New Beginning! We kept things quite simple in this editorial, allowing the stunning trees, gorgeous real life couple, sweet kiddos, and joyful moments to shine. It’s one of my personal favorites to this day and we hope y’all love it as much as we do!

Thank you so much to Landon Jacob Photography for capturing every detail for us!

Every year, we do our best to fill our annual print edition with advice and tips that will help you not only plan your wedding, but also (more importantly), help you and your fiancé prepare for marriage. We ask every couple we feature how they go about preparing for life after the big day, and were so happy to include many of their answers in V8. Please enjoy their words of wisdom every Sunday here on Southern Weddings!

Flora + Fauna

Wedding planning was the first major task we’d ever had to take on together. From picking flowers to our first dance song, to making sure we kept to our budget, we learned how to make decisions together, which is the key to a successful marriage.

Southern Weddings Weekly Round-Up

by in Main on

Happy Saturday, belles! Twice a year, our week revolves around preparation for the upcoming Making Things Happen conference, and with almost 80 wonderful women en route to Chapel Hill this weekend, you can imagine where our focus has been for the past few days! We’re so excited to share our hearts and the story behind our business and our mission with the attendees on Monday and Tuesday, and hope you’ll peek in on the conference Instagram to see what we’re up to. And of course, if you’re interested in attending in the fall, keep an extra close eye out, because ticket sales will be opening in the middle of next week–we’d love to hug you in October!
