After reading about our brides’ creative plans for the often-dreaded bridesmaid gifts, I think it’s safe to say that, if I were planning a wedding, I’d have no shortage of fun, personal and totally unique ideas for how to thank my closest friends for being a part of my big day!  Just to give all you brides-to-be a sense of what some of your fellow SW fans have in the works: our favorite “barefoot bride” is making elaborate foot jewelry out of brightly-colored beads and glittering chains for her shoeless ceremony, Shaina has found the perfect way to complement her bridesmaids’ unique personalities by gifting each with her own personalized perfume bottle and Shannon is getting everyone in wedding mode with a collection of classic and all-time favorite here-comes-the-bride DVD’s!  (Check out the many great comments below for even more ideas on how you can treat your attendants!)  But, as a recent college graduate and newly-independent woman, I understand how tight money can be and really appreciate the simple things that sometimes mean the most.  Take a look at what Krista, a graduate student, is planning on doing for the special girls in her wedding:

I have three bridesmaids, my sister and my two best friends from elementary school, who will be helping me celebrate! They’ve all been my closest friends for as long as I can remember, and I can’t imagine sharing my wedding day with anyone else!  As a student planning a wedding, I have to be pretty money conscious right now but I still want to give them something really memorable.  To show them how much they mean to me, I’m making all three of them scrapbooks filled with photos and momentos from our many adventures together.  Best of all, I’m going to leave the final page blank so we can cover it with memories from my wedding!  I just *love* the Nimli Pashmina Shawls and would definitely make sure my bridesmaids wear them for our final scrapbook picture!

Congratulations to Krista!  She will receive 3 Nimli Pashmina Shawls, one for each of her lovely bridesmaids!

Well, you may have noticed lots of “draft” posts going out this week when they aren’t supposed to.  Ah, the joys of technical difficulties!  We’re working on getting this fixed, so for now just check out the site if you’re visiting through a feed reader like Google Reader.  For the trouble, here’s some inspiration for your Wednesday morning from the amazing Jory Cordy.  How lovely and sweet are these images from the very talented Ben Rector’s wedding?  View the full wedding here.  Happy Wednesday!

Don’t worry about the technical difficulties. We will still be here waiting for more post from you. Great pictures anyway.
