Welcome back to Part II of Courtney + Phillip’s Wedding.  The reception site, {The Ruskin Place Park} in Seaside, Florida, is so stunning.  How about this decor!?  If this wedding came in a catalog, I would buy it.  And the best part: the send-off.  Courtney + Phillip rode off on a scooter!  See more of Courtney + Phillip’s wedding at East Hill’s {BLOG}. Thank you so much, Rick, for sharing this drop dead gorgeous wedding with us.  (See you in September!)

More from Jennifer at It’s a Shore Thing:  “Directly after the ceremony, guests were entertained at a cocktail reception. Befitting the groom’s heritage, guests were served fish & chips wrapped in newsprint. Champagne and wine were served and as a nod to the Southern location, the bride’s signature drink was  “swamp water”. Escort cards of larger votive candles with hand calligraphied vellum paper led guests through the fairly forest to the reception in Ruskin Park. A Scottish Bagpiper heralded the arrival of the Bride and Groom to the reception. After Guests were seated and salad was served, waiters arrived with trays holding three plates, each with a different entrée for each guest. The wedding guests dined and danced, not only under the stars, but beneath chandeliers hung from the trees. Entertainment was provided by a string quartet and three separate vocalists who were then followed by a DJ. As the reception drew to a close, the bride and groom departed on a scooter to their Seaside honeymoon cottage, followed by a ten day honeymoon in the Southwest.”

I love everything about this wedding. The chandelier over the cake is such an awesome surprise for an outdoor wedding. And I absolutely love the very contemporary look of the square and rectangular tables. Kudos to the photographer for awesome coverage. Great Job!!

Courtney + Phillip’s Seaside, Florida wedding celebration is out of this world gorgeous!  The ceremony took place in a quaint church decorated with a fabulous ceremony aisle treatment.  Event planning by {It’s a “Shore” Thing Wedding and Event Planning}, Catering by {Townsend Catering}, Photography by my dear friend, Rick, at {East Hill Photography}, Flowers by {Nouveau Flowers}.

The wedding story from Jennifer at It’s a Shore Thing: “Courtney and Philip were both attending William Woods University on athletic scholarships (his soccer, hers equestrian) when they spotted each other across the campus. Sparks flew and the rest, as they say, is history.  Two years later, on May 12, 2007 Courtney Withers Miller of Seaside, FL and Philip Peter Stubley of Leeds, England were joined in marriage before 200 invited guests from three continents and six countries. The Bride’s father, who is the minister of the Seaside Chapel, walked her down the aisle and then resided over the ceremony.  There were 12 bridesmaids, 13 groomsmen, 2 ring bearers and 2 flower girls. The flower girls wore handmade feather wing as they floated down the aisle. The best man carried the bride’s ring in a hand crocheted ring bag.  The bridesmaids’ bouquets were wrapped in cream chiffon Nicole Miller wraps which they later used to ward off the evening chill. Each bridesmaid wore a pearl necklace (a gift from the bride) that was handmade by a local jewelry designer. ”  More to come in Part II….
