We are a best friend wedding planning duo based out of Greensboro, North Carolina. It makes our hearts melt when we get to help brides plan for one of the greatest parts of their love stories. We strive to get to know YOU, so that together, we can make your dream for your day become a reality.

Full Names: Amanda Ward and Alyson Walker
Where you call home: Reidsville, North Carolina
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: We are both truly Mama’s girls. They taught us to “Live simply, but think BIG,” and have wholeheartedly supported us throughout our journey. We tell them everything, so they get the joy of hearing the good, the bad, and the ugly. They are so proud of our hard work and determination and of how far we’ve come since we took a chance on pursuing our dream. We would thank them for teaching us to strive to be polite, gracious, thankful, and hospitable. They set a great example of what it means to be a true Southern lady!
Location/Coverage: Will travel wherever the event takes us!
How we got into weddings: We are two best friends who grew up together in a small Southern town in North Carolina. Our friendship has now lasted for over 20 years, and we could not imagine life without the other one in it. We both went into the field of teaching after college, but quickly realized our true passion after directing weddings and events on the side. One night as we were sitting outside chatting about life, we asked each other what our dream job would be if we could choose any career. Of course we both answered, “event planners!” That night, we came up with our business name, and decided that we would start this sweet little business. We are so fortunate to have now made our dream a reality and are truly blessed to have met and worked with some of the most amazing people. Who knew that a “silly” idea that we came up with at 2 am could turn into such an amazing journey.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? There is nothing like a good Southern wedding no matter where you are from! Not only do you know that “Copperhead Road” is going to be played, but you can also always count on a big glass of sweet tea to be calling your name during the reception. We take pride in being from the South where we never meet a stranger and building lasting relationships is a personal priority. When we show up to a Southern wedding, we do not feel like we are there to just do a job, but instead we feel like we become part of the family and are celebrating right along with them.
Favorite part of a wedding day? As wedding planners, we obviously love the groom’s first look at the bride and the beloved father-daughter dance. However, our absolute favorite part of that special day comes moments after the bride and groom say “I DO!” and seal it with a kiss. In the seconds that follow, we love stepping back and watching the new Mr. and Mrs. take their first steps together in their new journey. All of the stress of planning is diminished and forgotten, and they finally get to enjoy their time celebrating with family and friends.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Your wedding day is the first day of the rest of your lives together. Oftentimes the chaos and excitement of the day can overshadow the true meaning behind the celebration. It is important to take a private moment as a couple to enjoy that blissful newlywed feeling and celebrate the commitment made to one another.
Dream travel destination? Bora Bora – just so we could stay in one of those huts on the water.
Favorite Southern city? Charleston is at the top of the list because of the bright colors, the coastal feel, and the Southern charm. However, if we are being truly honest, our main reason for loving this city is because of the delicious Southern food.
Early bird or night owl? Night owls for sure! We burn the midnight oil.
Favorite pie flavor? Pecan pie is our favorite, but we would definitely prefer a big bowl of banana pudding.
Favorite biscuit topping? Loads of grape jelly!
