Happy Sweet Tea Sunday, friends! We were so grateful that a handful of couples who have been married for 25+ years shared their memories and marriage advice with us in V6. Today’s couple, Sherry and Bill, have been married for 25 years, and we love the fact that Bill chimed in with answers for our mini interview!

When did you know she was the one? The first time I saw Sherry, she was coming from her welding class to get a snack. Through the soot, I saw her beautiful blue eyes, and knew right that second she was the one.
What is your favorite wedding memory? Staring into her eyes at the altar.
What is your favorite thing to do together? The first time we officially met was in a bowling alley, and funny enough, that’s still our favorite thing to do together. Whether in a league or tournament, we love being together while we bowl.
What’s the secret to your marriage? Placing God at the head of our marriage and not taking one another for granted.
What is your best memory related to Southern food or family? Just the smell of fried chicken will instantly take me back to when we were first married. Sherry LOVED to cook fried chicken, and to this day, when I smell it, I can see her with a big, beautiful smile one her face while we chat in the kitchen.
