Southern Weddings

I absolutely love photographing weddings, from the gorgeous bride to her handsome groom; from the fabulous DIY details to the amazing floral pieces. However, the best part of my job is getting to know my bride and groom on a personal level. I take the time to get to know my clients, through Facebook or Twitter, and by the time it’s their wedding day, we are BFFs. I know that’s what makes me unique. I know what my couples truly care about through that bond and friendship.

Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Where do I begin? I tell my momma each time I book a wedding! I have been featured on Style Me Pretty twice, Wedding Chicks, and Ruffled! Y’all also used one of my images in V5, the one with the chicken and bouquet held by the bride and groom!!

Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Um, the sweetest clients ever!!! And therefore the sweetest guests ever!!!
Favorite part of a wedding day? The first look or the part of the ceremony where the groom sees his bride. I absolutely melt when I see a groom cry. One wedding, a groom did a speech during the reception where he talked about the day he met his bride, and I bawled like a baby. A man talking about his girl is all it takes for me to ruin my make up!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? HIRE A PLANNER! I tell all of my couples to hire a wedding planner. If not a full planner, definitely a day-of one.
