Southern Weddings

I’d like to say it will be a calm, relaxing morning, but alas, I think I’ll be spending the morning trying to calm my nerves! These robes are so beautiful. I thought they were dresses!

The morning of our wedding I intend to wake up early in anticipation (I do it for client’s weddings, so I can’t imagine how I wouldn’t do it for my own! :), enjoy some coffee and toast on our screened-in porch (gazing out at the fields on my family’s farm), and eagerly wait as all of my six bridesmaids arrive to get prettified upstairs, drink mimosas , and listen to the Wedding Day Playlist I’ve been compiling for months! I took every song that mentions “I’m gonna get married!” Or “I met the man I’m gonna marry!”, lots of songs from the Father of the Bride Soundtrack, and staple songs we’re incorporating in our ceremony and reception. I made one for my best friend for her wedding June 24th, too!

I’m spending the morning of my wedding with all my favorite women — my bridesmaids, mother, and future mother-in-law (and hopefully we will all be decked out in these gorgeous robes)!!

But, before we finish getting gussied up, we are arranging a quick run over to the wedding guest luncheon, to grab a couple ham biscuits before the main event! Even if we have to blindfold the groom, you couldn’t make me miss out on a biscuit on my big day!

The morning of my wedding is going to be busy! We’re getting married at 2 pm, so we’ll have to start getting ready early. Not that I’ll be able to sleep anyways :) Mimosas, fresh fruit, girls hanging out and having fun!

The morning of my wedding we will get ready at my family’s house! I cannot think of a better place to get ready then the home I grew up in. In addition to my bridesmaids, my mother and aunt will be there, making sure everything is running smoothly. We’ll be playing Motown music in the background, sharing stories and giving advice as we all get dolled up. I see getting ready as a daytime slumber party! :-)

The morning of my wedding’s details are still being finalized but I do know I am going to spend time with my sister, future sister-in-law, my mom, and my future mother-in-law. We will have brunch, get ready together, and sip on a bottle of champagne to ease my nerves. I then plan on doing a first look with my Dad! And then getting pictures taken with my pretty sisters/bridesmaids!

We’re having a destination wedding in Los Cabos. So the morning of the wedding my fabulous girls and I are going to have breakfast and massages and mani/pedi on the beach. They don’t know about this yet cause its my surprise to them. Shhhhhhh :)

The morning of my wedding, I plan to savor the day day, relax, sip champagne, get pampered, and anticipate happily ever after with the most important women in my life- my mom, my grandmother, my godmother, my bridesmaids, and my aunts.

The morning of the wedding I plan on spending it with my bridal party and my grandmother, I want to have all the women who mean the most to me there getting ready with me, just like old times. I think we will have some muffins, fruit and juice and maybe some mimosas as we pamper ourselves and get dolled up for the day. I am sooo excited!!! I can’t wait, and I would absolutely love to have one of these beauties to get ready in!!! :)

The morning of our wedding I will wake up in my amazing George Strait suite, at Tapatio Springs. I will lay in the huge king size bed and probably pinch myself that the day has finally come that I will marry the most southern man I have ever met and he is my best friend. Then I will quickly get out of bed and do my song and dance, because my life is a musical. Then i will have coffee, breakfast, mimosas with my girls and a lot of laughs (trying to hold back the tears) I am almost crying just thinking about it… how will I ever hold them back??

I’ll be getting ready with my 9 bridesmaids (all decked out in Plum Pretty Sugar robes :) at the fabulous 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, KY. This robe will be the perfect compliment to my bridesmaids while we sip hot tea and mimosa’s- prepping for my walk down the aisle!

My bridesmaids, flower girl, women of the family and I will have breakfast in the home I grew up in then head to the salon to get our hair and nails done! Then I will get to marry my best friend!

The morning of our wedding, I plan I waking up super early with anticipation- and I am not in any sense of the word, a morning person! – waiting for my bridesmaids to meet at momma’s house so we can all get our makeup and hair done together! Bellinis, bagels, and bluberry muffins (yummm), and hopefully everyone donning their Pretty Plum Sugar robes :-)

The morning of my wedding day, I’ll wake up early even though I will want to sleep in late so a few more hours will pass making time closer to when I’ll walk down the aisle to begin a new life with Blake, my amazing fiance. Yes, I’ll begrudgingly wake up early and then remind myself to be nice, even though it’s early and I don’t do mornings, it is after all my wedding day and I should soak it all in. By the time I eat breakfast with my bridesmaids, I won’t have to remind myself as my early-morning-monster self vanishes. Besides, I have the best kind of girls who can make me laugh at any ungodly hour! Everything will start to sink in by now, and because I am a sentimental person, this is the time I’ll feel grateful for my friends who are there with me on my wedding day and the first tears of the day will be shed as my heart will just swell with happiness. After breakfast, I’ll remember my Plum Pretty Sugar robe and dash upstairs to put it on so I can get ready for my Big Day. When I come back downstairs, my bridesmaids will ooh and ahh over how pretty it looks. I’ll smile and tell them I’m so glad they like it because I bought each of them a robe to get ready in, too! Then, I’ll give them all their bridesmaids’ gifts. Of course, we’ll take pictures in them and then turn on some music so we can start what I’m sure we’ll deem cleverly “The Getting Ready Party.” My grandmother, who is a retired hairdresser and has done my hair my whole life, will once more do my hair. I’m sure it will be a special moment for us both and I’ll want it photographed so I’ll be able to look back on that moment forever. Once we’re all ready as far as hair and make-up goes, we’ll head down to the venue, a gorgeous old cotton mill in downtown Augusta GA right next to the Augusta Canal. From there, my mom and I will discuss last minute details and have a moment to ourselves full of big smiles and tears even if that means re-doing our make-up. Now, it’s dress time! I’ll put on my gown, try not to cry this time but it will be hard not to in front of my friends and family members present. So we’ll do another touch up, no big deal! My fiance and I have decided we’ll do a first look. At first, I didn’t understand why people did them, I always wanted that special moment walking down the aisle. Someone explained it to me, though, as having that time where it’s only the two of you and no one else. The rest of the day will be full of guests congratulating, pictures, and spending time talking and dancing, so we decided we would want that quiet time before the celebrating began! From this point on, the ceremony begins and I’ll try my best to make mental pictures but I’ll only notice Blake. For the rest of my life, I’ll be the happiest woman because of him!

On Sept. 1 (morning of my wedding) I will be getting ready with all of my 11 bridesmaids at my grandmothers house. This house is very special to me and it’s where my mom got ready on her wedding day too!

I plan to spend the morning with my sister and future sister-in-law relaxing on a balcony overlooking the the Dominican Republic. These beautiful robes would be perfect for what I envision as a wonderful morning with the girls!

I’ll be dunking coffee in my new robe, watching the sunrise at the beach!

I will be walking on the beach in Costa Rica the morning of my wedding!

Since my wedding is in the evening, I’ll at least hope that I’m sleeping in a little in the morning! But reality is that I’ll probably be too excited and will end up playing with my cats to keep me calm!

the morning of our wedding on May 4 my bridesmaids, mom and I will be having a lovely brunch complete with mimosas in our suite on Pensacola Beach! We will lounge around in gorgeous robes getting our hair and makeup done before heading to the ceremony!

On March 16, 2013 I will be waking up in Coconut Grove, FL with what I imagine to be the largest butterflies I have ever had. I will be surrounded with six of my closest friends and we will enjoy a delicious brunch while we get our hair and makeup done.

Have loved these so long! Entering for a girlfriend’s upcoming wedding. Looks like we’ll be at a vineyard for the big day so I’ve got a couple things in mind for the morning of: wine and more wine!

The morning of my wedding, I would like to think I’ll have everything finished and all the loose ends tied up, but knowing me, I’ll be running around trying to paint my toenails, find my underwear, track down that lost aisle runner…all I can hope for is a few moments of peace to take a breath and really soak in the day!

I am going to be having mimosas in the comfort of a hotel suite with some of my best friends and my mom while my hairdresser styles us all up!

My bridesmaids and I will be staying overnight in a historic bed and breakfast. We will wake up, have brunch, and start getting ready! I’m already excited, even though it is still a year out. I love these robes!

The morning of my wedding, I’d like to say I’ll be sleeping in, but who are we kidding. I’ll be up bright and early to have a quiet cup of coffee with my parents, brother and sister…our last family meal before my husband-to-be joins the crew. Then its off to a local bed and breakfast to meet up with all my bridesmaids for the bridesmaid brunch. Afterwards, we will all head to an old historic home where the reception is being held. I imagine we will spend lots of girly time just hanging out getting our hair and make up done. What I am looking forward to the most is the time spent with all my family and my beautiful bridesmaids who are a mix of high school, college, and adult friends from all over the country. What an exciting time for all of us to sip champagne, catch up and listen to great pre-wedding tunes together!

I can’t wait to eat bagels and drink coffee with my best friends in my hotel room the morning of my wedding. We have a room overlooking Lake Michigan in my south loop neighborhood of Chicago – I can’t wait to show off my new home to my out of town besties! Hopefully we’ll also get a run in before too, if it isn’t too icy – we’re getting married in November!
