Hey, SW sponsors: have we got some good news for you!

Shortly after launching the new site, it became clear that it wasn’t just our readers who were head-over-heels in love with SW 2.0, but also our advertisers. Sponsors loved the new, clean layout and streamlined design, the fun interactive features and, of course, the bigger + better ads and revamped Wedding Resource Directory.

In fact, y’all loved the new ad options so much that we didn’t have enough space to accommodate everyone, and we hated having to turn away some truly fantastic vendors. Our solution? Give the people what they want!

Yes, by popular demand, we’ve redesigned the Southern Weddings banner options. To your right, you’ll see we’ve added two new sections to help fit every need and budget.

To go along with our new ad spaces, we naturally had to beef up our media kit, so it’s prettier + awesome-er than ever!

What a media kit? (Like our site, it’s all-new!) Email me!

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: Remember our mega-giveaway to toast the new site? We’ve finally picked our winners for the complimentary blog ad! We’ve compiled all our entrants from various social media plantforms, and, thanks to our trusty random number generator, have picked Gina Leigh, Trevor Christensen and Ellie Photography to receive a complimentary three-month listing in our redesigned Wedding Resource Gallery“.

Winners, email me to claim your prize and get started on your ad

V3 Feature :: Southern Meets SoCal

by in Main on

Well aren’t y’all lucky! Today we’re featuring one of my very favorite spreads from V3. In Southern by Design, we featured shoots from three of our favorite bloggers. Each took the classic Southern wedding and made it their own, either by reinterpreting a Southern element or transposing Southern elements into their own environment. They did SUCH a fabulous job, and we’re honored to be able to show off their work in V3’s pages.

Today we’re featuring the shoot of Jen from Green Wedding Shoes. We dubbed it “Southern Meets Southern California” since Jen and her team took classic Southern elements (green tomatoes, raw cotton, magnolias) and gave them a SoCal makeover with the addition of West Coast details like succulents and an organic juice bar. Here’s a peek:

The gallery has ALL the pretty details — click here to see! In the meantime, here’s a look at the super-fabulous team. We love you all!

Photography: Stephanie Williams // Concept + Design: Jen Campbell and Carissa Jones // Styling: Jen Campbell of Green Wedding Shoes // Flowers: Carissa Jones of JL Designs // Makeup and Hair: Nyrie of Symmetry Beauty // Jouer Cosmetics and Unite // Prop Rentals: Found // Wedding Dresses: Temperley London // Paper Details: MaeMae Paperie // Hair Pieces: Lo Boheme // Bride’s Shoes: Shoebuy.com // Groom’s Shoes: 6pm.com // Models: Chris Marino and Amanda Rau

NOTE: Some of you may have spotted this post on Lara’s personal blog a few days ago, but until we get our feeds figured out, we’re going to be posting “personal” content here, too!

Hi y’all! Welcome to the NEW It List – top wedding images that inspire the daylights out of me! No rules here; just what makes my heart go pitter patter. Enjoy!

I love images that tell a story… especially images that get me curious about that story. This series from Amelia Lyon makes me want to jump into these photographs and be a fly on the wall!

The instant I saw this succulent kiss from my dear friend Natalie Norton, I gasped. I love her hand in the air, as if she is just smitten with love and abandon!

Otto Schulze frequently gives me photographic goosebumps. I can just hear this moment with the boys.

Something about this turn to cool weather makes me crave wool and heather gray and my husband’s warm chest to rest my head on. Jonathan Canlas brought the warm fuzzies with these lovelies.

If you get too chilly in your neck of the woods, just stop by Paul Johnson’s blog. It’s summer all year round at one of my favorite places on earth, Allys Beach. Gorgeous couple and you know I love that bowtie! Paul also shot my family this summer and I just adore he and Mecheal.

Last but not least for today… I love you. I really do. Thanks, Image is Found. Wouldn’t you love to have a set of your man mouthing this to you for a rainy day?

Have an image you would like to submit? Tweet it to me @LaraCasey with the #ItList hashtag. I’d love to see what inspires you! So… which one above is your favorite?

I love the one of the group of guys. The contrast between the dark shadows and the white shirts is awesome. And every one of them has an awesome expression on their face, a lot of emotion. I’m also loving the denim shirt the guy has on in Paul Johnson’s photo.
