We are thrilled to announce that one of our favorite sites, {Elizabeth Anne Designs}, is launching their new Library this morning! From Ami and Rebekah… We are incredibly excited to announce our new project, The EAD Library.  After months of development and research, we are launching a new resource for brides on Tuesday July 22nd.  The Library is filled with hundreds of useful links, from photographers to shops to stationers.  Our goal is a simple, comprehensive list of vendors.  The Library will help every bride, no matter her location, find the vendors and inspiration she needs for a beautiful event.”  We love EAD and are so excited about this new feature.  Congrats, Ami and Rebekah!  We can’t wait to peruse all of the fabulous finds in the new Library!

There are so many phenomenal things about this wedding. The flowers are divine, the setting is breathtaking and this is the most elegant barn wedding we’ve ever seen! Can I just scream GORGEOUS? I absolutely adore the hot pink contrasting with the full blown rustic enviornment. I wanted to go to this one too. Yet another wedding I wanted to go to.

This contest was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!  Special thanks to the team at {Bag, Borrow or Steal} for providing the incredible contest prize–a $250 gift card to rent a dream accessories from their collection, our fabulous panel of judges and all of the amazingly talented entrants! I think the producers of Sex and the City should make a movie based on each of our fab 9 finalists’ design concepts. Below are the comments from the judges: Event guru, Sasha Souza, of {Sparkliatti}, Janie from {The Bride’s Cafe}, Kathryn from {Snippet and Ink}, the ladies of {Elizabeth Anne Designs}, the {Bliss Event Group} girls and Maria from {Ritzy Bee}

To see all of these entries in full, {CLICK HERE}

Entry 1: *A very close contender for 1st place with 2 of the 6 votes!

Sasha of {Sparkliatti}: Love the mix of modern tufted
rounded bar and the simple silver mercury glass vases.

Maria from {Ritzy Bee}: Love this board – very Sex in the
City! Wedding guests would feel the vibe of a swanky NYC bar but in an intimate
setting.

Kathryn from {Snippet and Ink}: Entry 1 is my personal favorite –
it’s simple, yet beautiful, and all the things I imagine Carrie would most
value are there: friends, fashion, New York City. It’s also true to the
original wedding that Carrie imagined for herself.

Ami of {Elizabeth Anne Designs}: My vote is for entry 1 from
Alissa.  Her entry brought in the city of NY in the most beautiful way,
and gave Carrie and Big a wedding that I feel embodied their
personalities.  Intimate, swanky, and understated.

{Bliss Event Group} Girls: This board is SO Carrie!  The dress is to-die-for and the rich reds are magical.
Rebekah of {Elizabeth Anne Designs}: Love the liberal use of
chandeliers!  So elegant and trendy.

Entry 2:

Sasha: Definitely captures Carries vintage
meets glam attitude.  Love the mix of the golden cake along with the
Moroccan style lounge area.

Maria: Wow – such well thought out beautiful
details went into this! As a big fan of the little details surrounding
weddings, I appreciate how everything down to gifts from Carrie to her girls
were so well planned…amazing job!

Kathryn: My favorite thing here is
the five yellow dresses that the girls can choose from to wear. I would say
though, that this look is way more over-the-top than I imagine for Carrie and
Big.

Rebekah: My favorite is the picture in the
2nd row, far right.  Love love love it!

Entry 3:  THE WINNER!  CONGRATULATIONS! Click {here} to see the entire entry.

Sasha: My Winning Entry.  Really well thought out.   Carrie’s
look was HOT!  The shoe did me in!  Samantha’s look is spot on –
she’s such a wild one.  I could totally see Charlotte in the big red dress.  Miranda
would do great in the short teal number.  The candles, paper flowers and
of course Big’s Napa Wine were all brizilliant!.

Maria: Gorgeous inspiration and detail!
This must have been so much work to pull together and you have captured not
only the wedding but all of the girl’s unique style and sophistication with
this board. Bravo!!

Kathryn: I absolutely love all the
looks that Stephanie created for the three bridesmaids – they’re perfect! I
also love that she describes the reception as and “edgy downtown
party” – how incredibly Sex and the City

Janie: # 1, Stephanie really put a great
deal of thought into her boards.  I can see the SATC ladies’ personalities
in each of their individual boards….Stephanie also took it a step further and
included the inspiration for the honeymoon and the kids.

Bliss Girls: We chose 3 because she was SO detailed and really captured the essence of the incredible fashion and fun of the SATC series.  Absolute perfection!  Stephanie is obviously a foodie — her taste is exquisite!
Rebekah: Top pick: Entry number 3.
Wow!  This truly captures the opulence and style that each lady has.
My eyes are drinking up the Carrie board.

Entry 4:

Sasha: The teal and purple really pop
together and the mix of rustic and county is really intriguing.

Maria: Simply elegant! You have painted a
beautiful description and I can picture everything…down to how magnificent the food
would be

Kathryn: While I really like the
look of this wedding on it’s own, I’m not sure it screams Carrie and Big to me.
It’s a little more rustic and exotic than I would imagine for them.

Bliss Girls: Love the use of color and whimsy here.  There are so many fun and fabulous moments in the series and this board captures the free spirit of Carrie.
Rebekah: The teal and purple is
fabulous.

Entry 5:

Sasha: I loved how the use of classic
tones of red and white and black mix so well with the iconic symbol of I
{heart} NY.  The location would be everything to Carrie and this board symbolizes
that perfectly.

Maria: How charming and perfect! I {heart}
New York too
and this is just a perfect blend of theme and style…definitely VERY Carrie
worthy!

Kathryn: The idea of this wedding is so
wonderful to me, and if Carrie were going to have a theme wedding, this would
definitely be it. And I can totally see Carrie wearing that dress from Sabrina
(vintage Givenchy? perfect!).

Bliss Girls: We love the classic vintage touches in this board. The black, white and red color palette is a stunning backdrop for a high-fashion city affair.
Rebekah: Could this be any more New York? Love the
chandelier!

Entry 6:

Sasha: The jeweled dragonfly brooch is a
perfect jumping off point for the wedding which has a whimsical side.
Bringing in the natural outdoor elements makes it not too stuffy.  I love
the “Still Shopping” cake topper.  Classic!

Maria: Lovely details and I’m so glad you
remembered Mr. Big! I can perfect a beautiful sunny afternoon wedding!

Kathryn: How sweet is the Boathouse
for Carrie and Big’s wedding – I love it! So New York, and so them. The
reception decor is really lovely on it’s own, but I can’t see it in the
Boathouse…

Janie: Also a great job capturing
each ladies’ style in each of the boards…I love how she found her inspiration
from the broach and designed the boards around it and she also pulled
inspiration from the broach to describe the venue….i think this entry
totally “gets it”!…for Carrie with the veil and shoes…charlotte
with the soft blush pink palette and the dress is so Charlotte… and for Samantha
with the sexy black and Miranda…the perfect color palette for her!!

Bliss Girls: The softness of Carrie’s look is really wonderful.  We identified with her in the series in her moments of being human, real, and feminine.  This board really captures that beautifully.
Rebekah: Samantha’s combo is by far my
favorite of this entry.

Entry 7:

Sasha: The blue and the pink really play
well off each other and make it feel very regal and girly at the same
time.   What bridesmaid wouldn’t want to have their choice of
ANYTHING from Chanel?

Maria: I love the color palette of this board
– very chic and elegant!

Kathryn: I love the combination
here of intimate and the Plaza Hotel, champagne and Cosmos, French cuisine and
cupcakes. I also think using the blue Manolo’s as an point of inspiration is a
great idea.

Bliss Girls: The colors here are GORGEOUS!  And a wedding at the Plaza… perfect!  Loving the deep blues and crystal accents.
Rebekah: Love the color combination.

Entry 8:

Sasha: The inspiration words of lush,
romantic and modern were perfect choices for Carrie.

Maria: Gorgeous! I love that wedding
dress…very, very Carrie! The other details are lovely as well!

Kathryn: Entry 8: I think the eccentricity
here is reflective of Carrie’s style at times, but I’m not sure it’s what I’d
imagine for her wedding. The exotic meets New York City doesn’t quite work for
me.

Bliss Girls: The exotic elements here speak to Carrie’s worldliness and well-traveled style.  The dress is divine.
Rebekah: Those shoes are a-maz-ing!
Great job capturing the ladies styles.

Entry 9:

Sasha: Love how sexy this board looks,
it’s sexy and European…

Maria: I love how Paris is the inspiration and is woven into
the theme and style of the board. Although we know Carrie is a New York gal at
heart, this board represents the romantic side of her when Big proposed…it
takes me back to the last episode of the series that I absolutely thought was
the perfect finale!!

Kathryn: Gorgeous, classic and
totally Carrie. I suppose if she and Big were going to have a destination
wedding, Paris would be the place. But mostly I really love the look that Anne
created here. And how cute to have illustrations of designer shoes as an
element at this wedding!

Maria: Thanks for the opportunity to play
judge…this was such a difficult decision! I would have to say the board I think
represents Sex in the City {wedding} style best is Entry # 9 by Anne. It’s full
of romantic style and she choose the perfect combination of images to depict a
Carrie wedding…se magnifique!!

Janie: I love the color palette of this
board and the overall “feel” of it….I instantly thought of Carrie
when I saw this board…it’s very chic and full of style…and yes…you have
to have the Manolo Blahnik shoes….and to set the tone of the board in Paris
is fabulous!

Bliss Girls: This board is so well put together!  We can see the girls lounging in Paris together and soaking up every moment.  The scenery and details here are stunning!
Rebekah: The necklace screams Carrie!

Thanks so much!I am super excited! I thought for sure you would pick #1 or #4 due to the eleganceand simplicity of them. If I had a wedding blog, I’d post #4 for sure because it’s beautiful for any wedding! This girl needs a blog if she doesn’t already have one. This was fun because I’ve been living in ny a few years (not unlike the film Barefoot in thePark) and I know what it’s like to have no furniture but it’s ok cause you have that great DVF dress and those louboutins in your closet!
