So, I avoided the lines and went to AT&T at 3pm to place an order for the new iPhone 3G.  I’m happy to wait a week considering all the craziness today….  Check this story out!

“I started the upgrade and it failed, so now my iBrick is stuck in “dial emergency number” mode when I turn it on. I get the same connection error in iTunes as listed above. My wedding is tomorrow and there are people flying in from around the world, they all have my wireless number which will go straight to voicemail without me knowing it or that a call was received. Steve Jobs, will you be my best man?”

I hope this bride has a smooth weekend sans iPhone service.

This Apple gadget was the talk of the tweets on Twitter today!  Wedding pros were all abuzz over this morning’s 3G launch.  It has certainly aided many of us in the wedding biz…. and a few geeky grooms, too!  Check out this iProposal and this groom’s iVows.  Any of you fabulous photographers have iPhone wedding pics?  Get ready… we’re having an photo contest soon.  Have a great weekend!

    Hrm. Not to be judgmental at all – but I’m not sure I would have done a major software upgrade the night before my wedding. Good call on waiting a week! ;)

    I got my lovely iPhone bright and early Friday morning- couldn’t be happier with it so far!! I’m betting it will come in handy as I plan my wedding- with all the fun new apps out, there has to be some kind of budgeter… Someone needs to get on a wedding budgeter app, stat!

    Surprisingly we had no problems at all with our iPhone at the wedding this weekend or the day we got it. Perhaps it was because I was fifth in line? I’m such a dork!!! -David

I have to admit getting a little teary eyed when I read the comments on the Mega News, Mega Contest post.  We love what we get the honor of doing here on the SW Blog and we are so excited that people love southern weddings as much as we do!  Thank you to everyone who reads this blog!   This delicious slice of red velvet cake is from the sweet southern wedding of Melissa + Josh shot by {Altmix Photography}

OK, one huge favor to ask of those of you who have been kind enough to link to us.  Will you update your links from the old magazine title to the new one?  If you didn’t see the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT and Mega Contest that came with it, CLICK HERE.  We’ve extended this contest to Tuesday along with the SATC Contest.   We are so grateful that you even took the time to link us (I know what a pain it is to change links… I’m terrible at updating ours!) but we would so appreciate you changing them to Southern Weddings

I hope everyone had a great 4th and that the festivities are still continuing!  Here is a little family fun from some phenomenal wedding photographers for your Saturday enjoyment…  click here, here and definitely click here–so fun!

    You guys rock for posting this! Wow, in retrospect…contrary to popular belief, we regret hardly anything on our blog :D Man Trip III is already in the works :)

    I have been following these crazy guys and can’t believe some of the images they’ve taken! It’s hilarious and amazing all at once. I’d love to do that with a group of girls, but I’m afraid it would be one big cat fight with a bunch of ladies couped up in the bus. haha

    As a happily married woman, I’ve got to say that there are some big ol’ cuties on that trip. Talented and cute=whole package!
