Dear fellow fashion fans, you’re in for a real treat! I’m so excited to share these next few shows with you – pure fashion heaven! Our Saturday could not have been more hectic or more fun!

After the lovely gowns at Kenneth Poole we headed to back to the Piers for Junko Yoshioka (pronounced “june-co”). This collection featured classic silhouettes with modern twists. I’m especially fond of “Sofia” – the long-sleeved gown with dramatic keyhole back. But one of my favorite parts of this show had to be the beehive-esque hairstyles the models rocked! Y’all know I love big hair!

We couldn’t help but stop for a quick photo-opp in front of Tiffany & Co. as we hopped in the taxi to head to Reem Acra. Last year, Reem Acra featured very interesting lace hats with bunny ears and face coverings. Although not as Lady Gaga as her 2010 collection pieces, you still couldn’t help but take note of the innovative headpieces. Her collection featured tiered skirts and bountiful ruffles. I’m a fan! Are you?

As you might know, we’re quite the Amsale fans around these parts! Let me tell you, she did not disappoint! I literally died when the “Aspen” (the tulle ball gown skirt and beaded bateau neckline) hit the runway! It was like my Pan Am + Grace Kelly obsession all mixed into one with just the right amount of fancy glamour! Can I please be an Amsale girl?

After Amsale we had the hardest time catching a taxi! Not a one in sight! So what’s a girl to do? Run! Right through the massive crowds of people, some of which were dyed blue, carrying fake axes or dressed up like Rorschac for Comic Con ! And I might add that we did all this in heels! It’s all in the name of fashion, y’all! I sure was NOT missing the Monique Lhuillier show!

Never fear, we made it in time to see the whole fabulous lot of pretties! Monique describes this collection as “ethereal, dreamy, frothy and romantic.” I’d have to agree! How fun is the “Lili?” I think the LBD might actually have a little competition!

All images courtesy of the adorable Ashley Minette. Thanks, Ashley! We had a blast with you!

With that, we conclude our Saturday! Don’t fret, my pet! We’ll be back tomorrow with even more lace, tulle and taffeta! We’ve even got some behind-the-scenes fun with the incredibly awesome Trent Bailey, including me officially hailing my first cab!

Which gown is your favorite, so far? Would you rock the Reem Acra headpieces?

Marissa, i have to agree with your love of ‘Sofia’ from Junko’s collection. Princess Kate certainly made sleaves proud this year but this has such a quirky, modern twist with the subtle stripes rather than the vintage look of the oh-so-popular lace numbers. love it! I could definitely see someone like Zooey Deschanel wearing a dress like Sofia!

Good afternoon, dolls!

After our feature last week on mixed bridesmaid dresses, we got to thinking. Wouldn’t it be fun for us to choose a few of our favorite dresses and create one big ‘ol mix ‘n’ match Shopping Guide? So with the help of the amazingly talented Miss Sierra we’ve now got color palettes full of gorgeous dresses that are sure to get your style wheels turning!

Let’s start with a nice muted tan and creamy combo. I could see this along side beaus in navy blazers and khakis. Yes, please!

From left to right: Lilly Pulitzer “Blossom” dress in cameo white swizzle stripe ($298), Anthropologie “Veiled Alder” dress in dark grey ($298), Alexia Ardmor “Jewel Neck Trapeze” dress in champagne hammered satin ($198), Laundry by Shelli Segal “Necklace Shimmer Waterfall” ($325)

This next selection makes me wish for spring already! Especially that SW blue J.Crew little number….

From left to right: Jenny Yoo “Quinn” in bamboo luxe shantung ($300), J.Crew “Bow Monde” dress in silk taffeta ($250), Donna Morgan “Striped” dress ($68), J.Crew “Lucienne” in dusty shale silk chiffon ($235)

Navy + black seem like such an unlikely pair, but together they make a sophisticated winter duo. Adding a pair of black tights elongates the silhouette AND keeps away the chill bumps – double score!

From left to right: BCBGeneration “Asymmetrical Double-Strap Dress” in stormy sky ($118), BHLDN “Chiffon Stripe Dress” in black ($250), J. Crew “Arabelle” in winter floral ($395) and Kate Spade “Jillian” ($395)

Yellow brings a pop of sunshine to these simple and classic dress designs.

From left to right: Maggie London “Keyhole Chiffon” dress in butter ($118), J.Crew “Mika dress in silk taffeta” ($250), Alice + Olivia “Elizabeth Tank Dress” ($118.80), Asos “Paprika One Shoulder Corsage Prom Dress” ($26.19)

Paired with metallic sandals, these red hues would work for a fall or spring wedding. Use accessory selection and hairstyle to dictate the season.

From left to right: J.Crew “Lucienne One-Shoulder Chiffon Dress” in vivid poppy ($235), Jim Hjelm Occasions “Style JH5150” in sunset, Jessica Simpson “Pleated Chiffon Dress” in coral ($148), BCBGeneration “Strapless Satin Blouson Dress” in passion ($118)

Looking for a way to make purple work in the fall? Ditch the grape tones and opt for a more plum- or raisin-colored palette. Fun and sophisticated.

From left to right: Eliza J Beaded Bloused Jersey Dress ($138), Soprano “One Shoulder Draped Dress” ($48), Eliza J “One Shoulder” dress in eggplant taffeta ($138), BCBGeneration “Strapless Cascade Dress” in rosewood ($128)

I’m dying over the one-shoulder striped Modcloth dress! Mixing subtle prints and solids is a great way to change up the ever-popular LBD!

From left to right: Eliza J “Sleeveless Taffeta” in black ($138), Modcloth “Elegant Engineer” ($68), Maggy London “One Shoulder Dress” in black ($128) and BHLDN “Beribboned” in pewter ($200)

Adding soft aqua to creamy coral really give this combo of dresses that punch of color it needs.

From left to right: Asos “Corsage One-Shoulder Dress” in pink ($114), Jessica Simpson “Tulip Tunic Dress” ($128), BCBGeneration “One-Shoulder Ruffle Dress” in burnt coral ($128), Asos “Lipsy VIP Embellished Bustier Tulip Dress” ($193)

This grouping is perfect for you lovely brides who are looking for a more monochromatic look. The color is the same, but the range of styles would complement all different body types and styles.

From left to right: J. Crew “Blakely” in warm riviera blue ($250), J.Crew “Claudia” long in matisse blue silk chiffon ($385), Dessy Collection “Style 2831” in sailor lux chiffon, Kara Janx “Bailey Charmeuse One Shoulder Dress” ($251.99)

Hello, pretty + preppy! Navy + pink is such a fun color combo, and our selection of Lillys will have you reaching for your pearls before you even have the dress on!

From left to right: Lilly Pulitzer “Eryn” dress in multi chorus girl ($198), Lilly Pulitzer “Adelson” shift in azalea pink ($278), Lilly Pulitzer “Dominica” dress in bright navy brava ($188), Lilly Pulitzer “Shayna” lace dress in true navy ($368)

Our green machine combo takes traditional apple green and mixes with muted sage to create quite the lovely ensemble.

From left to right: Jenny Yoo “Bacall” in emerald green silk shangtung ($300), ModCloth “Have We Met? Dress” ($84.99), Anthropologie “Sweet Osmanthus” shift in green ($178), ModCloth “Feelin’ Finery Dress” ($47.99)

What do you think, ladies? Do we have your bridesmaid dress wheels turning? :)
