Happy Saturday! Anyone have fun plans for Memorial Day weekend? Early summer is one of the best times of year to really get out and enjoy the South, and between all the SW gals, we’ll be spending the weekend gardening (Lara), sitting on the beach in a monogrammed swimsuit (Kristin), traveling (Emily, Marissa, and Morgan), cooking out (Nicole), and hosting friends (me). It’s gearing up to be a great weekend for all! We’d love to hear about what you’re up to too, but first, let’s take a look back at the week on Southern Weddings.
In case you missed it this week…
Gina Zeidler shared her sweet marriage advice with us on Sweet Tea Sunday.
We congratulated a handful of newly-engaged SW readers!
We introduced some of our newest Blue Ribbon Vendors.
We’re looking for reader models in Nashville! Info for applying here.
Caroline of Caroline Joy Photography gave us a tour of her and her husband’s Austin apartment.
Laura and Grayson‘s wedding included a sentimental ceremony and lots of sweet treats!
Whitney and Benjamin had the sweetest first look at their nautical pastel Maryland wedding.
We’re so honored to share Caroline and Will‘s North Carolina wedding, full of military traditions.
Amy and Kenny were inspired by Southern summer picnics at their patriotic wedding.
On Southern Living…
There is no shortage of errands when it comes to wedding planning! Whether you’re strolling through the flea market in search of the perfect antique silver vases, carrying your past issues of Southern Weddings to a meeting with your planner, or packing up swimsuits for a bachelorette getaway weekend, a roomy, versatile tote is about as necessary to a bride as something old/new/borrowed/blue. That’s why we’re thrilled that Vera Bradley is giving away one of their new extra-large Laser Cut Totes to an SW reader! This chic black and white bag includes a small pocket inside, and at 19 ½” x 13 ¼” x 6 ½”, it has plenty of room to fit everything you could possibly need for vendor meetings, crafting sessions, and everything in between. Enter below!
Have a great weekend! Please remember to keep our troops and their families in your thoughts in prayers this Memorial Day, and congratulations to anyone getting married this weekend!
