Anyone who knows Kristin knows that she has a huge heart for marriage and she loves cooking. Well, both of these qualities that help make KNW so special stem from the folks in today’s Sweet Tea Sunday–her parents! Steve and Angela Neal were married on Mother’s Day 35 years ago and will be celebrating their anniversary on Tuesday, so today was the perfect day to post the advice they shared with us for V6. Happy anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Neal!!

A God-centered relationship will give you a shared sense of responsibility, a basis of church friends with common values, and a great resource of older, more experienced couples for sounding boards when things get tough. Pray for each other and your marriage. Everyone brings their own baggage to the relationship. Both individuals must acknowledge their shortfalls and work on them. You cannot fix the other partner. You can, however, be supportive and caring. Remember that compromise is okay and that both partners will at some point give more than their fair share. LOVE unconditionally.

Having a God-centered relationship is so important yet so often overlooked in this world. I’m glad y’all value that! Happy (early) anniversary to you both!
