Google+ Summer in the South: Gingham Fab Finds - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

At the beginning of the summer, Marissa and I had a lengthy discussion about gingham. Which gingham shirt would we choose? Did we like the smaller patterns or larger ones better? Didn’t we think it was the perfect summer fabric? We’re not just obsessed, y’all. We’re kind of advocates of gingham-fication. The happy variation of the checked pattern is one that we all love because it signifies many things that we adore about this season, including warm temperatures (and lighter fabrics), brighter colors, and picnics.

If y’all agree, you’ll definitely love the finds we’ve wrangled up for today’s Summer in the South.

A. You can never go wrong with a light dress during the dog days of summer. How about a gingham print to go with it?

B. We do love a man in a bow tie, but how about a bow tie and matching suspenders? Be still my Southern heart!

C. These treat bags from Shop Sweet Lulu are always handy — perfect as favor bags or for taking cookies with you to work!

D. We’re ribbon fanatics around here. Whether you’re wrapping a bouquet or a present, or even pulling your hair back, these fabric options will look adorable!

E. Give your pearl earrings a break and don these sweet gingham button earrings.

F. Beach, lake, pool or rock quarry, a gingham swimsuit is a must! Bonus points if you don red lipstick like these fab gals.

G. I’ll admit I’m a bit obsessed with these gingham heart picks! Any food will look ten times more appetizing with these on top!

H. We can’t get enough of Emily Ley’s colorful iPhone cases. With so many colors to choose from, the options will sustain you through even the hottest summers.

I. Sometimes the best gingham finds are on the most overlooked objects. I’ll be stocking up on these fun twist ties.
