Last week we talked about wedding insurance, and today, it’s all about insuring your most precious sparkly – your engagement ring!
I don’t know about y’all, but when I received my engagement ring, the FIRST thing I thought of was protecting that baby. Seriously, it was! (Okay, only if you don’t count my happiness at getting engaged to the love of my life – but that’s an obvious exception!) I was just given the most expensive thing I’d ever owned, and I was expected to wear it every day?? Out in public? Where hard objects could hurt it, or I could lose it? Stressful stuff, I tell you.
So of course, I did my research on insuring it. My friends’ and family’s first suggestion was to add a rider to our renter’s insurance, but I found the process frustrating, and I was never clear on what, exactly, the insurance would cover.
That’s why I love today’s sponsor, Perfect Circle. Their motto summarizes their best qualities, I think: “We cover real life.” For example, they understand that if you have a jewelry loss, you can’t always pinpoint how or where your jewelry went missing, so they cover “mysterious disappearance.” So true!
They also recognize that you live in your jewelry, and that gemstones will fall out or prongs will get bent. They cover that, too.
Another great distinction of Perfect Circle is that they replace with “same kind and quality,” and their goal is to make repaired or replaced jewelry virtually indistinguishable from the original. This is especially important when you have name-brand jewelry, such as Tiffany, Cartier, or Harry Winston. They also allow you to use the jeweler of your choice for the repair or replacement, and do not require multiple estimates, both of which are wonderful!
There are MANY more great advantages for choosing Perfect Circle, so if you’re still searching for the perfect insurer, I’d encourage you to check them out! You might want to start here, with their insurance coverage explanation, or here, where you can hear, in their own words, what sets Perfect Circle apart from other companies. Happy shopping!
