It’s been a busy week at the Southern Weddings office! Our paintings have come down, our office closet is cleaned out, and we’ve been working around a large pile of boxes in the middle of the room. Our move to a bigger and better space is happening! With all the moving hubbub, we still managed to work in a little photo shoot with Millie Holloman and sit down and post some pretty and inspiring features for you this week. Emily brought us the cutest Southern Spotting yesterday: monogrammed flower girls! The sashes of these sweet girls’ dresses incorporated one of the most beloved Southern traditions.
Lara gave us all some perspective on the stress of wedding planning when she asked, “Will it matter when you’re 80?” She shared some great love stories and photos–all from couples over 80! Usually I like to leave you all with a photo to feast your eyes on. However, this week I have to leave you with some awesome invitations for the International Biscuit Festival that we spotted on our friend, Nole’s blog, Oh So Beautiful Paper. Of course we had to share it with you, it was way to cute to let slide. Paper fanatics will rejoice and everyone else will have their stomachs growling!

I live in West Knoxville and will be attending the festival again this year. It is so much fun because it is downtown in Market Square at the same time as our Farmers Market on Saturday. There is something for everyone at the market and at the festival. Altough I won’t be attending the Blackberry Farm breakfast, due to the cost of the tickets the biscuit festival that morning only cost $15. It is a blast because you get to taste so many people’s takes on the traditional southern biscuit. By the way, I love your website it gives me such great ideas for my wedding this fall.
