The Southern Weddings girls absolutely, positively adore Ivy and Aster. Let us count the ways:

~Their whimsical website full of gorgeous pictures from Elizabeth Messina draws us in and keeps us involved with their darling story.

~The products themselves are gorgeous. The intricately beaded accessories could add that certain wow-factor to any dress.

~Ivy and Aster is receiving praise left and right. Most recently in Lucky Magazine!

~Maybe we love them so much simply because they make some of the most breathtaking dresses on the market. Yep, that’s definitely our main reason for all this love.

We asked readers to step right up for the Style My Ivy and Aster and it seems that y’all agree that Ivy and Aster is something special. Dozens of readers answered which Ivy and Aster sash they preferred and counted the ways that the sashes could complement their wedding ensembles.

Congratulations to Lindsay, who picked the Starburst sash!

Definitely without a doubt I would pick the starburst sash. It would go so well with my ivy and aster dress! I wanted to get it but was going to see if I had room in my budget to do so. But winning it would definitely solve that problem. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity!

Enjoy your new sash! I know it will look stunning with your Ivy and Aster dress!

Another fab giveaway coming up next!

As Southern Weddings Magazine, it only seems right that we’d feature the very Southern tradition of bridals every so often! We love when brides put a twist on this very traditional tradition, though, and that’s exactly what Jessica did! Her fab dress is the “Madeleine” from Stephanie James Couture, purchased at the Houston Bridal Gallery (where she got her veil, too!), and her shoes are the ever-popular Badgley Mischka “Randall” pump. Leslie Braun at Studio 31 took care of Jessica’s vintage updo, and Sandra Mata of The Perfect Face was responsible for those fabulous lips and eyes.

And that gorgeous T-bird convertible? That was borrowed from Frank of 2 Dine 4 Fine Catering in Austin. Vintage lovers, rejoice! Frank has a number of gorgeous cars that are available for wedding departures. Get in touch with Frank if you’re interested!

Huge thanks to The Nichols for passing these photos along (you can see a few more on their blog here!). Jessica, we hope your wedding was as fabulous as your bridals!

If you were thinking Stephanie + Avery’s intimate reception in the Cloister Wine Cellar looked more like a photo shoot than a real life wedding, we’d have to say we agree with you – and love it! The candlelit banquet table with elegant silver detailing just about took my breath away, but it’s the black + white seashell wedding cake (designed by Sea Island’s Executive Pastry Chef, William Schultz) that really wowed us. If you’re like us and hankering for more from this sweet South Carolina wedding, visit Ashley McCormick’s post on S + A’s big day here!

Describe your wedding flowers: My bridal bouquet was all white and consisted of my favorite flowers: anemones, lilies of the valley and peonies. My sister’s bouquet had lily of the valley and various shades of purple lisianthus, tulips, freesia and anemones to tie in the colors of the beautiful stained glass windows that were recently installed in The Cloister Chapel. The mothers carried a single bloom of gardenia, and Avery had a lily of the valley boutonnière.
Describe your wedding cake: We had an amazingly delicious two-tiered cake with vanilla geniose and California almond with buttercream icing. The cake topper and embellishments were custom made for us by Denise Sharp, who did a wonderful job incorporating our wedding monogram into the design.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? The biggest challenge was keeping the guest list to twenty guests, including us. We had more family and dear friends we would have loved to invite, but it was especially important to us that our wedding reflect who we are.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? My favorite memory was the toast Avery gave to me at the reception dinner. It was incredibly sweet and straight from his heart. I start to tear up every time I think about it. Avery says his most memorable moment was seeing me for the first time at the Avenue of the Oaks for our first look.
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you looking forward to in the future? We look forward to our long-awaited honeymoon to the Mediterranean and many more adventures to come.
