Google+ Winners :: BabbsBoutique, Airplanes + Blazers, Newlywish Registry, and a V1 giveaway - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Today, we have a TON of winners to announce. It’s a plethora of giveaways…a copious amount of prizes…frankly we just like to give away awesome things and today we have a whole group of new SW giveaway winners!

First up, our lovely friends over at the Etsy site BabbsBoutique! We know that modern Southern brides often spend days upon days fretting what their bridesmaids will wear and whether their maids will be happy with the bride’s choices. We want to alleviate some of that stress by getting one lucky bride-to-be started with three gorgeous silk clutches from BabbsBoutique. There is no doubt your bridesmaids will be fawning over them and use them again and again.

Congratulations to Taylor J! We asked entrants to describe how they would customize the BabbsBoutique clutches for their bridesmaids and here’s what Taylor answered:

Oh these are gorgeous! If these were for my bridesmaids, I’d have the silver clutches with each one having a different pink or yellow embellishment (flower or bow depending on the girl’s personality) and a small monogram placed on the lower right flap of lid. HOW ADORABLE!

Next up? Who will win tickets to the party of the year? Yes, you read that right! This party is going to knock your socks off! What party am I raving about? The one, the only Airplanes + Blazers party in Las Vegas during this year’s WPPI conference! Think glitz and glamour. Think Don Draper and 1960s sophistication. Think party dresses and bow ties. Think awesomeness!

Oh, speaking of bow ties, the winner will also get an XOELLE bow tie that will make any man fit in perfectly with this classy crowd.

Lara will be hopping around Vegas attending the WPPI conference and will be at The Total Package and Making Things Happen as well. Obviously she’ll be a busy gal, but she will certainly be dancing the night away at Airplanes + Blazers… and maybe dancing with you!

Congratulations to Ashley S, who will get two tickets to Airplanes + Blazers AND an XOELLE bow tie! We asked what y’all were planning on wearing to the event and here is Ashley’s choice:

I’m thinking a classic, red DVF wrap dress and some gorrrrrgeous heels :) With some red lips to match, of course!

You are going to look simply stunning, Ashley! Have fun! To those of you who didn’t win, you can still get in on the party fun here.

Onward to even more winners! Creating the perfect wedding registry is exciting. What’s on your registry determines what you may be getting near your big day to help you and your significant other start your new life together. NewlyWish is here to help you pick the perfect things for your registry.

We asked our friend Amanda at NewlyWish to tell us a little bit more about NewlyWish’s services: NewlyWish is an online registry and wedding-related gifting service that brings together engaged couples with our network of shops and service providers all in a single, easy-to-use website so that you can create a registry that includes everything for your home, from kitchen equipment, to tabletop items, bed and bath linens and home décor, as well as a range of unique experiences and non-traditional items such as food and wine, cooking and dancing lessons, artwork, museum memberships, and even tickets to the theater and sporting events.

Today, one lucky winner is getting a $100 gift certificate to Bowery Kitchen, redeemable at NewlyWish, to make their registry dreams come true! A big round of applause for Erin C.! Enjoy your gift certificate!

Last but certainly not least, we recently celebrated our two year print-aversary and we wanted to include you in the celebration! It has been a tremendous adventure these past two years and we are so lucky to have such an amazing readership. Our first issue quickly sold out and Lara now only has one small box of V1 for memory’s sake. Now one of you will get to take home a piece of history, the original issue of Southern Weddings Magazine.

We asked readers to share with us their favorite thing about weddings in the South and we are so happy to announce Shelby as our winner! Here’s her delightful answer:

Al Green put it perfectly when he said “all I can say is there’s a sweetness here…a Southern sweetness.” Southern weddings have the ability to combine the sweet, slow-talking nature of southerners with the romance and love that a wedding brings. Every southern bride exudes the happiest air about them and you can’t help but smile when you see the father give the bride away. You can’t stop yourself from imagining the bride and groom growing old together, sippin sweet tea in a rocking chair on their wrap around porch watching their children grow into little debs and gentlemen. There is something so perfect in the air at a southern wedding, the mason jars with flickering lights, the magnolia’s filling the room….a feeling that can’t be matched.
