Aaaand I’m back with part two of my NSS recap!  Let’s just consider this me prolonging the stationery celebration as long as possible, mmmkay?  Great.  In case you missed it, you can check out part one here.

I loved the Hello!Lucky booth, complete with pink and cream tissue poufs, a holdover from co-owner Eunice’s recent (fantastic) wedding.  The Enormous Champion card (top right) tugged at my heart strings.  The circus stripes on the Two Trick Pony booth were so fun, and complemented their cards’ spunky personalities.  The Wiley Valentine booth was hopping when I visited, but that didn’t stop them from welcoming me warmly and answering all of my questions about their collections.  My favorite suite is in the bottom left, and you can also check it out on WV’s site here!

A few more designs I loved, including from Avie Designs.  If you see your work here, please let me know — I’d love to add you to the post!

Max & Bunny was one of the stationers debuting at this year’s show, and I couldn’t resist snapping a shot of their Baby! Baby! Baby! card for Katharine, our resident baby lover.  Chewing the Cud has always been an SW favorite (in fact, our office stationery was made by Viola!), so it came as no surprise that I enjoyed visiting its booth.  Both of the suites below are from Chewing the Cud, and I loved them equally.  Which do you prefer?

Sadly, that ends my NSS recaps!  I hope to return next year, however, bringing even more stationery goodness to an SW blog near you.  For now, can I get a “howdy!” from all the other stationery geeks out there?

I’m addicted to Michael Kors! Uhh – terrible addiction. I’m still in school so I can hardly justify spending on designer, but I save up then reward myself for getting good grades or not spending money on a variety of items that I won’t enjoy as much as MK! :)

No matter what kind of morning it is, if I put on a dress I feel feminine and beautiful. While I’m still building my collection on my small budget, I get really excited at the thought of buying dresses for many upcoming engagement functions!

My addiction: blogs. I am obsessed! They are my guilty pleasure while down here in Guatemala finishing up the last 4 months of my 27-month service here as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I follow cooking blogs, craft blogs, decorating blogs, news blogs, my friends’ blogs, green blogs, really…you name it, I follow it. My cousin, who also happens to be my best friend, recently asked me to be her Maid of Honor so now I have a good excuse to follow amazingly fun wedding blogs like this one :)

Clearly, I am addicted to reading wedding blogs–so much so that I’m not sure what I’ll do with myself in a few short months! But, aside from that, I am pretty darn addicted to watching hockey on TV. Just ask my poor basketball-loving fiance. I don’t even have to like either of the teams playing. Fortunately for me, hockey season starts right after the wedding, so that will keep me busy when I won’t be reading wedding blogs as often (if I can tear myself away)! :-)

  27. avatar Lena reply

I am obsessed with the strangest thing-Haribo gummies called Die Schlümpfe. They’re Smurf-shaped, berry flavor gummies available exclusively in Europe. Since my discovery, I’ve been forced to buy huge tubs (5, 10 lbs and up) in order for my gummy-crack supplier to send them! But they’re always worth it.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Highlighter. I am not usually one to buy overpriced beauty products (I live and die by drugstore Revlon), but some how I got duped into buying this at Sephora. It was $40, which is about 10X as much as I like to spend on cosmetics, but it’s absolutely amazing! I keep one at home and one at my purse for the office in case I get suckered into going somewhere at the end of the day and need a subtle pick me up to prevent me looking sallow and gray. I LOVE IT. Every woman should own this magic wand.

I have a small obsession with shoes.. and when i say small what I really mean is that I love them so so so much. I always have to buy new pairs – heels, sandals, wedges. You know its gotten to the point of obsessive when you have 3 pairs of tennis shoes in your closet. I feel like I’m going to be on that tv show "Hoarders" and the episode will spotlight only my shoe closet. Oops… But I still really need that pair of snakeskin pumps! I guess the obsession will never end..

I really love the Southern engagement sessions we’ve been featuring on the blog lately.  Judging by your spirited comments, it seems you do, too!  But I have to admit: if I were planning a summer engagement session, I’d probably steal Jessica + Scott’s strawberry shoot.  Like literally print this page out and take it to my photographer kind of steal.  It’s just that delicious!  Charlotte-based photographer Kristin Vining (we love her work!) took her too-cute lovebirds to Patterson Farms to smooch + munch over an incredible spread of strawberry-everything.  Lindsey Regan Thorne styled the happy couple and helped make the bride camera-ready.  Read on for more details about Jessica + Scott’s fab fresa fashion!

And look two…

1st Look:
White Sundress: Anthropologie
Toile Apron: Anthropologie

2nd Look:
Sundress: Anthropologie
Plaid Shorts: Nautica
Floppy Straw Hat: J.Crew
