While most of you are focused on your upcoming Memorial Day plans, the SW ladies are hard at work on not only two very special weddings we are producing (yes, we help produce a couple select weddings a year!) but also our spring/summer issue. It’s hard to believe we’ll have a third issue to add to our collection come August, but with what we’ve got up our sleeves (super top secret Jose Villa photo shoot anyone? phenomenal cover competition, you say?) it’s sure to be our best one yet.
And after the news we received this month, that’s saying a lot. A whole lot. What, pray tell, is our exciting news? Sales of Southern Weddings magazine are 40% above the national average. Being “above average” (especially 40% above average) is always a good thing, but given today’s struggling magazine economy, that’s a pretty significant statistic.
What does that mean for the November issue? Well, for one, Barnes & Noble wants to push more copies of our current issue to all their southeastern and even their southwestern markets. I don’t know if you know this – and I definitely didn’t! – but this never happens. Ever. Magazines released in November of last year just don’t get picked up for re-issue. But we did, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
We’re so psyched for our next issue and are so positive it’s going to be even bigger and better that we’ve launched an exclusive May-only discount for print ads. Think of it as a thank-you to our many talented vendors who support Southern Weddings. Sure, it’s our hand-selected advertisers who help make the publication of SW possible, but it’s also these creatives we wholeheartedly recommend to our readers and brides.
Want to get in on SW V3 and join the Southern Wedding’s “Who’s Who” of wedding vendors? Email me for a copy of our brand new media kit! You have five days left to take advantage of our May discounts, and we only have a few prime slots left – so quick as a bunny!
Can’t wait for SW V3!!!!
