Google+ Real Texas Wedding: Hope + Jordan, Part II - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Here’s a few more from Hope + Jordan’s rock-and-roll wedding, celebrated, fittingly, at Speakeasy in downtown Austin.  Cool!  We love the aqua, red & black color palette, and think it was the perfect complement to their record-themed soiree.  Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop helped guests indulge in their collective sweet tooth with a chocolate cupcake tower and guitar-topped wedding cake.  Visit Crosswhite Photography’s blog for more fun shots of the happy couple!

Describe your wedding flowers:  Simple, vintage and sweet, I went for red gerbers for the girls, and white mini tiger lilies for myself.  I wanted bold but not frilly.
Describe your wedding cake:  We fell in love over music, so it made sense to use guitars as our toppers!  Sugar Mama’s also made us a guitar-shaped vanilla cake and a chocolate flavored cupcake tower.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Organizing the wedding party from long distances was a bear, but we really pushed the stress level up a notch by choosing a date one month after my brother’s wedding!  Our niece had a blissful time being a flower girl for both weddings, but our mother insisted we were trying to kill her.  Another challenge was getting the maid of honor’s beehive in place, but a Starbuck’s cup insert did the trick.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? We felt like rock stars on the loose running around Austin with Andrea getting our photos taken.  It was exhilarating, and she really captured the energy of the entire day.
What’s next for you as a couple?  What are you looking forward to in the future? God has blessed us to join ranks in the creative industry, and we plan to seize all opportunities He gives us to excel in journalism and fine art.  We want to play music, paint masterpieces, have babies and stay one step ahead of the bossy Chihuahua that rules the roost!

Congratulations and love to Hope + Jordan (and their little dog, too)!
