Google+ Inside the Print Edition, Vol. II :: Watercolor, Part II - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Today we’re sharing a few additional images from the second Watercolor Palette, shot by Kyle Barnes at the Watercolor Resort. As you’ll see soon enough, we put our Paul Frederick suit to work — three different guys wore it over a period of two days!  Ben is also sporting a Paul Frederick tie, while lovely Kacie is rocking J. Crew (one of my favorite styles, I must add!) and an Avelle cuff.  One of the coolest parts about this shoot was that Cafe Thirty-A, a delicious local restaurant, was on-hand to serve up a few of their most popular entrees.

We shot this nautical palette two different ways: once on a dock, and once in a park.  Even away from the water the sea-worthy goodness shone through, which I hope makes landlocked brides everywhere breathe a little easier!

Big thanks also to Fifty Flowers (wholesale blooms), Fisher’s Flowers (floral design), Two Fishes Artistry (hair and makeup), and Nationwide Tents N Events (rentals) for helping this shoot come together!

Credits: calligraphy strips, menus, and placecards by MM Ink; embroidered runner and napkins by Filigree Monogram Designs; linens from La Tavola Linen; red leather favor boxes from World Market; red heels from Christian Louboutin; glass jars and mini lanterns from Beau-coup Favors; truffle favors from Nonnie Waller’s

P.S. When I tell you that none of these photos appeared in the print edition, and that this post doesn’t even scratch the surface of the gorgeousness that you’ll find inside the issue, I really, really mean it.  There’s a whole other tablescape we’re not even showing you!

Hi Catherine! The top dress in this post is by J. Crew, and the next dress down is by Nicole Miller. Let me know if that doesn’t answer your question!Emily @ SW

Adore how the navy works with the crisp white. Stunned by this not-so-cheesy nautical combo the first time I saw it in the mag and still am today. It’s such a clean, crisp way to have a colorful and traditional wedding at once. Can I get a do over now, please?

Watercolor is one of our favorite places to visit when we stay in nearby Rosemary Beach. Beautiful setting, beautiful images.
