I <3 SW jewelry contests. A lot. Seriously, it takes a strong willpower (plus the occasional stern glace from Emily) to keep me from entering some of these contests and pocketing the prizes myself.
If you can believe it, I’m even more excited about today’s contest, not only because of the gorgeous gold + pearls earrings that are up for grabs but also because these gems were handmade by my former babysitter + school mate, Erin McDermott. (Hi, Erin!) Erin was one of my very favorite babysitters growing up (she’s smart, pretty and tons of fun, hence the girl I desperately wanted to BE when I was little), and I literally jumped for joy when I stumbled across her jewelry site.
True story: I’m so in love with the “Whitney” and “Lucky Penny” earrings she’s giving away to two readers that I’m hoping to use them for my own bridesmaids come September. (Erin’s a fellow bride-to-be and will be marrying her college sweetheart this April. Congrats!)

I love the hammered silver disc earrings. They’re simple and classic, and that absolutely defines my jewelry style. Plus she even writes that they’re great for everyday wear if you want to get away from your pearl or diamond studs for awhile. I’ve been wearing my pearl studs for several weeks now. The Whitney and the Lucky Penny earrings ARE the earrings for my wedding style. I LOVE gold, and the vision is ocean-inspired ~ as this is where Marc and I became engaged, found our faith, and made promises to each other for forever… right by the oceanside. These earrings are the most beautiful, most a part of nature, most elegant earrings that perfectly convey all the love we share and love for the ocean. They remind me of beautiful ocean gems and corals, almost. :) I also love the Gold Nest Earrings, but they just aren’t as perfect as the Whitneys and Lucky Pennys are. So amazing!

I love, love, love the Crocodile Tears Turquoise Necklace!! As much as I adore turquoise and silver together, I love the marriage of turquoise and gold just as much. The tiger’s eye stones make the turquoise "pop", and the gold really illuminates the whole necklace. LOVE IT!!! Of course, I am drawn like a magnet to the Whitney earrings, as well. They are feminine and magical.
My favorite is the Three Serene Raindrop Earrings!! They are absolutely beautiful & I am a huge pearl lover. I love anything simple! Those earrings would go with just about any casual outfit, and definitely with a cute summer dress during the summer days :)
wow this is some really beautiful jewlery. I am pretty much obsessed with any and all things turquoise…always have been. The hot air baloon turquoise earings are my favorite. They don’t quite go with my wedding dress, but I’m pretty sure I can find a rehearsal dinner dress that would look lovely with those earings. I love picking the accessories and working backwards :)

How wonderful, but such a hard choice! I think I would choose the ‘Dancing Quartz and Pearl Earrings’, although everything is most definitely beautiful. I love the understated beauty of this earring, and my bridesmaid would look FAB in them! I’m using warm grays, blush pinks, and corals in my wedding palette so these earring would be just the thing for my girls and their gray dresses!

The "Lucky Penny" earrings are incredibly classic and chic. My dress is a 1950’s style tea length gown and I want some really simple pearl and gold earrings to accent the navy and grey that the wedding party is wearing…these are perfect!

I love the Drive-In Movie Drop Earrings! They are beautiful but not overdone. The style and colors are classic and can be worn dressed up or down. The color reminds me of the green water that comes from the Glaciers here in Alaska.

My wedding is going to be held at a rustic vineyard in the countryside of Virginia. My mother is sewing my dress and my engagement ring was my great-grandmother’s. While I consider myself a modern and fashionable young woman, the traditional and rustic ties that these elements will bring to my wedding and very me as well. I love the simply stucco pearl drop earrings because they are 1) beautiful, 2) probably not too heavy (which is perfect since my ears are close to ripping), and 3) could be worn for several different occasions. Very classy earrings! And I have not seen anything like them before, which is why they immediately caught my eye!
