Google+ Gia Graham Color Palette: Majolica Blue, Warm Olive and Slate - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Leave it to Gia from {betsywhite Stationery} to put together another fabulous color palette for us this week. Funnily enough Laura and I were just discussing how we love the idea of the men wearing grey suits instead of the traditional black tux. The additions of Majolica Blue and the Warm Olive paired with Slate make this color combination even more stricking. Make sure to check out Gia’s color palette posts each week for some more wedding inspiration: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI.

From Gia: Ok, so I’m loving this Majolica Blue that’s predicted {Fall 2009 Color Predictions} to be a hot color for the Fall. Here’s another palette featuring this elegant shade…

The bride and bridesmaids: For a formal Fall wedding, the bridesmaids would look stunning in floor-length blue dresses. The Warm Olive shade of cymbidium orchids would add a tangy twist. The bride could wear a traditional white gown, perhaps with Majolica shoes as her ‘something blue’.
The groom and groomsmen: Slate grey suits for the men with deep blue ties and a touch of green on the lapel.
Accents and Details: Floral arrangements with warm, bright shades of green would be stunning against deep blue linens. The cake could be simple and elegant in grey and white. A favor table with gifts wrapped in Warm Olive and Majolica papers would make for a colorful display.
