I think Tara said it best in describing the day as “peaceful, romantic and unique.” And what a beautiful natural setting! The floral decor was done by {Bloomies} and the wedding cake was created by {Edible Art}. Assisting Poser on this wedding was {Jason Huang from Table 4 Photography}. To see all the shots, click over to Poser’s {blog}. Thanks again for sharing this divine wedding with us today! Happy Friday!

The weather on our wedding day was: Ridiculously perfect. Clear blue skies, warm, sunny, dry… perfect.
What was the design inspiration for your wedding? Simple, natural, and earthy with a vintage flair.
Favorite design element of your big day: We arranged the seating in the round, completely surrounding the platform where the ceremony was held. It created such a feeling of intimacy with our friends and loved ones. We felt like they weren’t just observing from a distance, but rather engaging with us in the moment.
Describe your wedding flowers: My bridesmaids and I carried small arrangements of dried flowers. The groomsmen, ushers, and attendants all wore handmade button boutonniere. For decoration we used a variety of small arrangements in glass bottles and fabric wrapped cans, including German Chamomile, Gerber Daisies, Hydrangea, Yellow Buttons, White Wax, Kale, Roses, and Tulips.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: There are too many favorites to count, but overall, I loved that every detail was clearly inspired by who we are and what we love.

Any DIY items? Invitation and envelope design, button flower boutonniere, button wreaths, programs, oversized paper pinwheels, table centerpieces, antiqued jewelry and headpiece, and many more…
Three adjectives that describe the day are: Peaceful, romantic, unique.
What advice would you give to someone planning their wedding? Jeremy’s advice is to let the bride do what she wants. (See why I love him?) I would say the most important thing is to reflect who you are in every detail and decision, without compromise.
Who was your most honored guest at the wedding? Our beloved parents!
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you looking forward to in the future? Starting a family and living our dreams together.

Congratulations to Tara + Jeremy. We wish you a lifetime of love as you live out those dreams!

The wedding ceremony took place at a family friend’s home.  The gorgeous bride, Tara, was met with applause from the guests as she strolled down the aisle to her groom.  What a moment!  The guests being overwhelmed with joy and emotion. {Poser} captured the smiles, laughs, tears and our favorite moment… Tara and Jeremy’s first kiss. Aren’t these images beyond words? Read on to hear more…

A date we went on that we’ll always remember: Our first date. Jeremy didn’t touch his meal because he was so nervous and I only managed to get down a few bites, but we talked for hours and held hands across the table. It was simple, romantic, slightly awkward as a first date always is, but ultimately full of peace and great purpose.
Tell us about finding your wedding dress: Having gone dress shopping with my sisters for their weddings, I heard them describe finding “the” dress as an unmistakable, life-altering moment. I honestly did not think that moment would really happen, at least not for me. {Vera Wang} proved me wrong. The gown was simple, elegant, but not too perfect or coifed – just a little rough around the edges. I knew instantly it was the one, just as my sisters told me. Our precious sales woman, Valerie, encouraged me to go home and sleep on it, then come back the next day and tell her what I dreamed about. I did just that, awakening the next day anxious to make the dress my own.
The most unexpected event on our wedding day was: Our guests started clapping as I walked down the aisle. It was wonderful and kind to see them show such approval and emotion, but definitely unexpected.
Did you write your own vows? If so, what was your favorite phrase/verse/or line? Amidst my very emotional and intense vows, I had to include one promise to my sport enthusiast husband he would never forget. I said, “I cannot promise to like every sport, but I vow to always cheer for the Florida Gators.”
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? Walking down the aisle and our first kiss!

More to come from Tara + Jeremy!

This week’s incredible Texas Southern Wedding of the Week comes from the amazing Erik Clausen aka {Poser}. Erik just won best 1st place in the Modern Photographers (We LOVE MP!) Best of Bridals 2008 competition.  His work is breathtaking. Be sure to check out his previous stunning features: {Humberto + Patricia} and {Somerlea + Esteban}. Tara + Jeremy’s wedding was a celebration of true love with overwhelming emotion.  Lara says this is one of her favorite weddings we have ever featured.  I can see why with their beautiful love story and these moving images…

How did the two of you meet? Tell us your story. Jeremy and I met for the first time at Divine Appointment, a salon of a dear friend. I was sitting under the dryer as he walked by, when I curiously asked my sister, “Who is that?” She introduced us that day, but it was over five years later when we ended up on the same path. We found ourselves on the same church staff, serving in ministry together, hanging out with mutual friends, definitely curious about one another, yet content with our friendship status. Circumstances changed and curiosity grew, while God began to move in our hearts concerning each other. After several months of praying and some very intentional “getting to know you” conversation, Jeremy asked my dad if we could begin a relationship. With the nod of approval, Jeremy and I had our first date in June of 2007, became engaged in January of 2008, and married 9 months later.
Describe the proposal: I woke up on January 31st thinking I was simply headed to a hair appointment at Divine Appointment, the same salon where Jeremy and I first met. I walked in the salon a little after 7:00 am to find Jeremy standing behind the counter. I thought to myself, “Oh, how sweet. He came to hang out with me while I get my hair done.” As he came out from behind the counter and reached for a jewelry box, the reality of the moment hit me as I exclaimed, “Shut up!” On one knee, he opened the box to reveal a long piece of black thread, the string that I would wear as a symbol of our engagement for the next 9 months. For the first time he said, “I love you” and I eagerly echoed his words. He asked, I answered, and then we embraced for what seemed like an eternity. I will cherish that moment always.
What attracted me to my husband was: His confidence. Nothing is more attractive than a man that knows who he is and what he wants.
Why do you love your husband? Because he is everything I need and more than I deserve.
What attracted me to my wife was: Ultimately, her relationship with Jesus, but her class, beauty, and smile definitely helped.
Why do you love your wife? She makes me feel important and respected. She listens to me.

More to come from Tara + Jeremy…
