Spring is less than two weeks away and that means Spring and Summer outdoor celebrations are coming up fast! For the last details of your wedding, consider adding thoughtful touches to make guests comfortable. Last week, I suggested setting up a lounge area for a relaxed cocktail hour ambiance and for tired dancing feet. If renting cushy sofas and hanging dramatic chandeliers over them for a fabulous lounge is not in your budget, consider small gestures that will surely let your guests know how important their comfort is to you! On hot summer days, put out pails of ice filled with customized bottled water {with all the Champagne and alcohol flowing… hydration is a must!}. Put out fans for sultry afternoons {I especially love Sandalwood fans because they smell lovely!} and if it’s sunny, don’t forget the paper umbrellas {as an added bonus, paper umbrellas are great accessories for chic Kodak moments with the bridal party!}. And a welcome tray of cold terry-cloth napkins soaked in rose water is the perfect way to greet guests! {place a couple fresh cut flowers on them for a gorgeous presentation} Whether or not you’re throwing a beach wedding, flip flops placed in buckets are a nice treat for party animals who refuse to be held back by a few blisters! While the sun is high, re-label SPF bottles with chic DIY labels made from pretty wrapping paper. After the sun sets, put out some inexpensive pashmina shawls for chilly nights.

The best part of being a gracious host? All these amenities can add to your decor… buckets of custom-labeled water look chic on buffet tables, baskets filled with paper umbrellas and fans add Asian flair, a flip-flop display is preppy and sweet and pashmina-draped chairs look divine!

Have a peak for some inspiration!

I love all these ideas! We’re having the valets put a hangtag in every car with a note from us on the front, and directions to the reception site on the back, along with a few chocolates for the drive.

I love love LOVE the idea of custom bottled water! My sister in law used custom water bottles (I think she got them from bottleyourbrand.com ?) at her summer wedding and they were so adorable. They kept everyone from complaining about the heat (even my grumpy 83 year old grandma!) and matched the reception decor perfectly!

These are fabulous and beautiful ideas and I KNOW they are extremely useful where I conduct weddings in Florida!! I am always grateful for the cool water to drink on a hot day! The fans are great!
