Every week, I get emails upon emails from wedding professionals and brides letting me know some of the latest and greatest trends, events, and must-have’s in the industry. So, every Monday I’ll be bringing you an update with what’s happening in the wedding world. What do I have for you today? Some exciting news from Atlanta and Virginia and beyond.
For all the Atlanta area brides out there that need some wedding planning help StudioWed is one place you should stop by. I’ll let Michele Gainey of {Lemiga Events} explain, “{StudioWed Atlanta} located in trendy Midtown West, is an exclusive collection of wedding vendors representing the finest wedding professionals that service the Atlanta area. This is a hip and revolutionary concept in local and destination weddings in Atlanta: a stylish and sophisticated planning studio where the area’s best vendors come to you. Meet with a photographer over coffee in the morning and enjoy a glass of wine as you chat with a florist in the afternoon. Best of all, there’s no cost to you to use StudioWed’s services, so you can feel free to spend an entire day — or as many as you need — planning your big day.”
More exciting news from Atlanta would be the opening this year of the third location of {The Bridal Bar}. The Bridal Bar Atanta has been in the works for sometime and once opened will offer engaged couples an outlet for learning more about wonderful options for their nuptials. Currently, the Bridal Bar is interested in learning about all the talented Atlanta and Georgia vendors out there. Check out their latest {blog post} to learn more and drop a line to the team at the Bridal Bar.
Next up, {Weddings by Michelle} introduced me to a lovely event they are holding April 5th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the {Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel}, called {I Do! presented by Weddings by Michelle}. Prepare to be inspired, as attendees get a tour of the newly redecorated hotel followed by a walk- through wedding with tips from not only Michelle but other talented Virginia-based vendors. There will even be a Q & A portion with Janie Medley of {The Bride’s Cafe} and {JM Flora}. Also, brides will be entered to win door prizes and leave the event with lots of fab swag. Tickets are free, but you must register on the web site. Check it out!
No matter where you are, you might find this last bit of information interesting. {Brides.com} released some information from their annual America Wedding Survey. One of the most interesting finds of this year happens to be in the bling category. According to the survey, there was a “43% increase in the average cost of engagement rings since 2006.” Bringing the typical price tag for ladies’ rings at $6,348! Check out more from the results {here}.
