We’re going to be spending most of our honeymoon by the water, so I would definitely make it a honeymoon photo album!
I am currently writing daily messages to my fiance and will be giving him the collection on our wedding day. One of these journals would be PERFECT to hold the collection.. and they fit in with our beach theme!
Honestly, my head is just so full of thoughts and worries and ideas about the wedding right now and I really need a place to get them all down. I’d usually blog about these sorts of things but with the wedding I’ve been a little more hesitant to share everything online. I’d love to use one of these journals for what they’re made for!
oooh theses are lovely! i think i would make a birthday scrapbook for my sister! her house is decorated in this sort of fashion, so it would look lovely on her coffee table!
I would use it as an inspiration journal and jot down knew ideas for wedding design!

My sister just got engaged, so I would give it to her to use as a guest book.
These designs are perfect for my vintage beach wedding (or is it called sophisticated seaside? Or as my husband puts it… chic shore.. haha!)Anyway, I would use the book as a photo album of the wedding… specifically the white one with the shell… perfect!
Oooohh…I recently came across a blog where someone kept track of all the sweet things her husband ever said to her. She would later share this with her children…I would LOVE a new journal to start something similar with my husband to be!
I would create a father’s day gift for my father filled with photographs of our family’s time together at the beach, growing up. We spent every summer on Lake Michigan, but home was inland – so the beach is a special, fun destination for us all.
I’m looking for an album to write all the wedding down and these are perfect!!!
Dear SW, I am floored by these amazing handmade journals. I am a big fan of stationary. I usually make handmade birthday card, get well cards, going away cards, gift tags, Valentine’s day cards, etc. It has been a dream come true to plan for my wedding and help with my bridal shower, where I haven been handcrafting almost everything! It adds such a personal touch and charm for the guests. I have been thinking of making a scrapbook of all the goodies as a keepsake for the hubby and I, and for our future children :). It will remind us of the hectic months before the wedding and the relaxing, by-the-sea honeymoon. I hope I win! Thanks!
I would use this gorgeous journal to write love poetry to my boyfriend who is studying abroad in Florence this Spring. I would give it to him for our 4-Year Anniversary in May.
Well, mine is a long story…you see, I want to elope. I don’t want a big wedding, or even one that’s fancy. A wedding to me, is personal, it’s not for everyone. For the ceremony, I want to take my closest friends, on a weekend adventure. The idea is to re-create the feeling, the intimacy, the closeness that I feel when I am with my small circle of friends on weekend trips to Savannah. The journal, I would pass off to them…I would tell them to document whatever they wanted. Be it with photographs, poems, napkins, drawings, or smudged dirt from the plantation where I want to be married. I would have them pass it amongst themselves, the whole weekend, and then my Husband; who would write something before we were married.
What beautiful journals! I’ve kept one for about 4 years as a single girl– things I’ve wanted my future husband to know. All before I was even engaged. I would love to start a new one about all the things I want my fiance to know after our first year of marriage- things I’ve loved, my deams, goals, etc.
I would make it my Hawaii honeymoon book! I need something to write down our trip in detail. This would be perfect!
i like to keep an idea journal- one of these would be perfect
They are all wonderfully beachy, and perfect for someone planning a beach themed, or summer wedding! I would love to have one to write in through our engagement; the ups and downs of planning, and include pictures from fun wedding events, all leading up to the big day!
I am a water engineer with LEED certification so I love these journal designs. My fiance and I are from very different parts of the USA. I am a southern girl and he is a northeastern guy. Since my family and his family will first meet at the wedding, I would ask each married lady to write about the most special part of her wedding day. This will be an amazing walk through time for my new husband and I to share after the wedding.
I would take that fantastic journal with me everywhere I went and use it to collect sketches and notes of the little things around me that inspire me. For instance when I was walking around Boston this weekend looking in the windows of all the little boutiques. I had so many ‘oh my gosh!’ moments about things I loved and wanted to remember for crafting projects in the future, and things that I want to buy once I have a bigger apartment. I wish I could have captured them in one of these beautiful books. Then, whenever I need inspiration, I would know right where to look.
Dear SW — My husband has a new obsession…fishes in his fishtank. I would love for him to have a journal so that he can document all of his fish stories in it. I also love the squid journal…it reminds me of a wedding dress… I’d give that one to my niece, who loves all things ocean and is getting married in April. I hope I win! Thanks!
I would use a book like this to write down favorite recipes of my sweetie and I, especially those involving cephalopods like octopi and squid! I would put in pictures we took of our cooking creations and rubber stamp images of old etching seafood drawings. If we ever get around to traveling in Spain, I’d put in those photos and mementos too.
I’m having an "Advice Shower," where guests are sharing with me their words of wisdom. This journal would be perfect for guests to share their advice and to use as a keepsake!
We’re doing three weeks in Europe for our honeymoon – I would use it as my honeymoon journal and memory blog!!! =)
One of these would be great as a combination guest book/photo album chronicling our wedding week at the beach!
I love the starfish design. I would use it to document our planning process and engagement period. We have been on a couple of wonderful trips in the last few months and I also have some pictures of us working on DIY projects. I think it would be a great gift to him on our wedding day!
The journal would be home to the many thoughts/pictures I grab from blogs and magazines until the big day! I’m currently starting to glue my ideas onto scrap sheets of paper and including them in a boring black binder. This would be an excellent way to cherish my ideas and planning forever, in an oh-so-fashionable way of course :)
I go to school in the Pacific Northwest but desperately miss living in the Bay Area of California where I grew up. It would be great to use these journals to save pictures of both home and my college life.
Beautiful journals! My first thought was to use it as a guest book at the wedding. My fiance and I are having a vintage styled seashore wedding, so it would fit perfectly. On second thought thought, it would make a beautiful honeymoon journal. What a great place to write memories and keep pictures and clips from our first days as husband and wife!
I will fill it with photos and stories about my gorgeous family! I grew up in Florida and I’m land-locked now so my home is filled with ocean themed things. This will go nicely!
I would definitely use this as a guest book for my sister’s bridal shower!
That would be amazing for a guest book and scrapbook! We’re having a small wedding (20-30 people), so it would be fun to give each person a page.
My family and I have gone to the beach every year since I was little. I’d love to fill the book with photos from childhood through now of wonderful beach memories!
My boyfriend and I are currently planning our wedding. We are eloping! We will be married in Jamaica and spend 8 glorious days in a villa on the cliffs of Negril. These journals are gorgeous! We would use it to journal all of our thoughts and memories during this trip and include photos from our wedding and honeymoon. We would display this for our guests to view during our at home reception.
I would use this as a guest book. It is just perfect!
Thanks for sharing this contest SWM! I’d love to use this journal on our honeymoon as a way to document our first six months together as husband and wife. We’re "mooning" by the beach six months after our wedding ceremony, so one of these books would be the perfect place to write down everything we loved about the wedding, everything we’ve learned in the last six months, and everything we’re looking forward to in the lifetime to come.
I would use it to create a wedding scrapbook from before the wedding (vendors & stuff) to the day of. I’d probably put our honeymoon in there as well. So fun!
I love the look of these journals. I would fill mine with the random thoughts that pass through my head everyday.
after my fiance and i get married on April 4, we’re leaving on an 8 month honeymoon world trip, including a month at the great barrier reef in australia, where any of these notebooks would make a fabulous travel journal! i especially love the octopus journal! please please please pick me! thank you!
i would use it as an inspiration book…to hold the pictures, magazine clippings, business cards and brochures i have been collecting for years. they need a home!
My finace proposed to me on Pensacola Beach at a very well known spot "The Cross" which comemorates the first Christian mass held in the United States. Our wedding weekend May 8-10th, 2009 will also be held on Pensacola beach including our rehersal dinner at Hemmingway’s on the Bay, our wedding day on Pensacola Beach followed by our reception at the Hilton hotel. That same weekend is also Mother’s Day so our family and friends are going to be joining us the Sunday after our wedding for a special Mother’s Day brunch to give special thanks and show our love to the most important people in our lives…Our Mother’s!!! This book would be absolutely perfect to memorialize the most amazing weekend of our entire life. I would love to use this book to make a scrapbook type album of our wedding weekend held on Pensacola Beach!!!
My staff and I are doing our 2nd Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. This would be a lovely journal for ourpatients to write notes and dedications to their friends and family that have been touched by breast cancer.
I would use the journal to make an entry every day until our wedding about my relationship with my future husband and how I feel about him. Then, I would present it to him as his groom’s gift on our wedding day so he would see that no matter how stressed I may seem with the planning, my feelings for him are what really matter.
I’m currently going through old photographs from my grandparents’ early years, including their wedding, and making a digital archive to preserve them all. Gran is turning 80 next year, and for her birthday I’m planning on making her an album with these photos, which I’m turning into cyanotypes and gum prints, which kind of match the printing on the covers of these albums.
How beautiful! I love journals, especially for list making and keeping track of inspiration. If I won I would use this journal to keep track of all of the entertaining, baking, decoriating, and craft projects I want to do as a newleywed. Many of my ideas are being sheleved until after the wedding – but I am quickly forgetting them and need somewhere to write them down.
I would use it as a journal of love letters handwritten to my husband!
I would use the journal to keep an engagement journal to remember all of the details of our engagement and wedding planning, because savoring the engagement is important and easy to forget to do with all the planning!
I’d use the journal as a dumping ground for all the sludge in my brain. I’d likely keep it by my bedside and write down all those strange wedding related dreams I’ve been having lately, like the one where no one showed up-including the groom!
As we are 35 year ‘honeymooners’ and are East Coasters, I would compile a collection of our family vacations and excursions at lakes and seashore over all of those precious years. The album designs are absolutely exquisite and represent our love of all things nautical and seashore. Would enjoy and reflect on it regularly and share with our children, grandchildren and friends!
What a beautiful journal! I would use the journal for my fiance and I to remind us of the simple pleasures of life. Every night, we’d write down one thing we’re grateful for. It’ll keep us grounded and remind us what’s really important in life!
My fiance is currently 4,000 miles away and can’t come into the country until the immigration papers are sorted, so we have to visit each other in other countries around the world. I would definitely use this to chronicle our adventures while we’re engaged, ending with the honeymoon!
These adorable notebooks would be SO appropriate for our beach themed wedding along with my Florida roots (6th generation!). I would definitely use it as a photo albulm for the guests to look at during the reception.
Life has been a bit crazy these days . . . wedding planning, crazy work hours, the economy, etc . . . but I read in a book once that when you start talking about things you are thankful for you lower your stress levels!!! So I would use this journal as a "thankful" journal and everyday I would take some moments to sit down, drown out the white noise of life, and write thank you notes!!!!!!!!!!
These are absolutely stunning… I would love to use it as a scrapbook… Put in it all the things I collected throughout the planning period, include my favorite pics from the wedding and honeymoon. They are also perfectly sized. I love the fact that they are big… They easily fit 8 x 10 pictures and would even give you enough space to write a few words around it. Truly beautiful books…
My fiancee’, my childhood sweetheart, is a scuba diving instructor, and the journal reminds me of him. If I were to get it, I would write him a letters from now until we get married this August. I’d include pictures, as well as little things like movie stubs and plane tickets from when we are able to fly to see one another. I wouldn’t tell him about it, but give it to him the day we are married as a wedding gift. I think it would make a perfect gift, because although he is a tough cowboy on the outside, he has a very sensitive and romantic side. ;)
I am a marine biologist and marine conservation advocate, so these immediately spoke to me…kinda like a certain someone. I’d love to fill the beginning of it with thoughts that I had when we first met and since, but leave a great lot of it open to record the fun that is still on the horizon.
I would use the journal as a photo guest book. Guests will take their picture and paste it into the guest book with personal messages. I love these journals.
My boyfriend and I love to write haikus – we’ll text them as a pick me up throughout the day. It would be great to have book so each evening we could write a haiku to summarize something that happened that day – do this each night and have a year in review in haiku. Thanks for the opportunity!
I would love to give these as gifts to all my lovely bridesmaids!
I’ve always wanted a place to put all my favorite quotes in life and what those quotes mean to me, how they came about, who wrote them, what the quote makes me think of, etc. My quotes are near and dear to me, they deserve a better place than the see-through holder they’re in right now in my school binder.
My fiance are planning on visiting several European countries on our honeymoon (by Sea). Both of us grew up here in Idaho and have never traveled outside the country, so this will be an adventure for us. With the journal, we would write about our new adventure across the world as a new husband and wife.
These are absolutely perfect for my fiance and I! He has owned his own business, "The Fish Guy" since the age of 18. He installs and maintains aquariums in the Greater Atlanta area. One of the first dates he ever took me on was a day "on the job" with him. He and I disassembled and transported a 300 pound tank carrying it all the way from Atlanta to Dahlonga! His passion and seemingly endless knowledge of sea creatures amazes me everyday! This journal would make the PERFECT guest book for our wedding in October, I have been trying hard to figure out some way to incorporate his passion into our commitment and this would be a fantastic way to do just that!
My finance and I met in the British Virgin Islands – he was a captain and I was a scuba diving instructor. We are planning on taking our honeymoon back to Tortola, where we met. I would love to use one of the nautical journals to relive old and capture new memories!
I would use this as a guest book for my reception where friends and family could write special messages to my fiance and I share special pictures.
I know exactly what I would do with them! My fiance and I would use one as a travel journal for our honeymoon. This has become a tradition for us–we both take turns writing about our day during our vacations! It is so much fun to read upon our return.
Whenever my fiance is deployed, or on a "field exercise," we use journals to write back and forth to eachother…we’ve begun quite the collection, as I am sure it will continue! He’s just reinlisted for 6 more years!
I love the fish design on the blue background!!! I would love to use this in my classroom as a way for my kids to recommend books for other students. They are beautiful!
Pen to paper is something to be treasured. Stories passed down for people to read and lose themselves inside of the words and images that are created. I would write the stories of the journey that I’m on. My mother has cancer and has recently moved in with us. We couldn’t let her be on her own during this time and she wanted to be sure that my children, 2 and 5, got to know her before she’s gone. I would fill the pages with the day to day drama and wonderful moments, because our days are definitely filled with both!
I love the power of words; therefore I have been planning to start writing a story about my life with my future-husband. We are getting married later this year (August 14th) and plan to start a family next year (2010). I want to fill the pages with beautiful thoughts and talk about moments that him and I have shared through the years. This is something that I want to continue to do so that one day our children can read through those pages.
My parents love the beach, and have lived on the water for most of their lives. I would love to use the book to make a scrapbook for them of all of my favorite memories from home, to thank them for all of their love and support (and college tuition)!
I would use this as a guest book!
I really need a guest book for my up-coming wedding that is as unique and original as the rest of my wedding details. I had almost given up hope until I saw these. I love them!!
We just got married and we have all these photos from our photographer but no album! These journals would be perfect for our wedding chronicles…
