Google+ Details: Hope + Adam, Part I - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you to two very stylin’ people: Hope + Adam. When I first scanned through the photos, I was wowed. For one thing, I would want to be one of Hope’s bridesmaids so I could carry a beautiful fall bouquet and wear these fab boots.  Bridesmaids dresses from {Urban Outfitters}, Hope’s gown from {Marry Me Bridal}, and accessories by {Stephanie James Couture}.  Photography by {Matthew Morgan Photography}

How did the two of you meet? Tell us your story. Well this is quite a long story but the gist of it is that we were out to lunch at our soon to be favorite restaurant and a mutual friend introduced us. We immediately couldn’t stand each other, but some thing happened at our next meeting, which was going shot-gun shooting with some friends. Adam said it was the pants I was wearing. I say it was the gunfire.
What was the design inspiration for your wedding? Nature, we wanted to use as many resources from the land as we possibly could.
Favorite design element of your big day: The arch that Adam, his father and a friend made for the alter. It was made of sticks and branches from the area, there was recently some strong winds so that helped the stick-hunting process.
Tell us about finding your wedding dress: It was nothing I thought I would ever pick out for myself, I’m less traditional than my dress but I loved it just the same. My mom flew out from Hawaii and we had 2 days to find the dress. It was the first shop we went to and my moms made me try it on. I reluctantly obliged and ended up loving it. It was a little simple for me but I knew I could jazz it up a bit. Hence, the broach and cutie veil.
Describe your wedding flowers: I’m not much of a flower person, so thankfully my mother-in-law’s friend was a genius. I went over to her house and she started asking me what flowers I liked. Of course I knew none of the names that were coming out of her mouth, so she dug up some pictures for me to point at things that caught my eye. This was much more my speed. I just pointed at the flowers and colors I like and luckily she was a wiz!
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: The oak trees, they were the most beautiful part of our wedding by far. The canopy they created made the best setting.

More to come from this fun couple!

    I’m a little bit obsessed with this one. The kick-ass modern bride! The gals in boots! The tutu on the little one! The retro look of the guys! The fun laid-back-ness of it all! I could keep going…
