Google+ {Southern} Details: Humberto + Patricia - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Admittedly, I am a Poser fan. I’ve already requested one of his pics for my office wall. It just makes me swoon!  Erik Clausen aka “Poser” is based in Texas and consistently produces delicious images– you just have to stop and savor them. (I told you I’m a fan!) Today we bring you the stunning Florida wedding of Humberto and Patricia. Be sure to check out the Poser {BLOG} for more. Thank you so much, Erik, for sending us these gorgeous images!

From Poser: “OK, so I know I say this a lot, but this IS my favorite wedding to date! Well, it helps that it was in Miami with a couple of the coolest people you ever want to meet

Humberto and Patricia rocked the house!! OK, well they rocked the Vizcayan Museum and the Biltmore. Adelee Cabrera with A Joy Wallace Catering took care of the details and really knocked it out of the park!  Humberto and Patricia booked me over the phone so I only got to meet them for the first time when I arrived in Miami. Everyone was so awesome! Seriously, from the bridal party to the guests, they were all extremely affable and a joy to meet. I will always have fond memories of this wedding. Oh….and who did I bring along to shoot this stud-tacular wedding with me? That’s right, THEfred. You rule man!”

Event planning and design by Adelee Cabrera with {A Joy Wallace Catering} .

From Adelee:   Patricia, an artist in her own right, wanted to be sure that we incorporated very modern touches into the design aspect, using a pink and chocolate browns as impetus. Humberto, having been raised in Miami, knew that the guest list for this wedding would exceed 350 guests. Furthermore, they wanted to forgo the traditional cocktail reception, and get their party started, by getting all the guests right on the dance floor.

So after, two short meetings, Patricia chose to wed her prince on the Casino Mount, where moss hangs from a natural canopy of trees and where a beautifully appointed acrylic altar was created. Additionally, she chose dupioni silk linens in a champagne color with chocolate brown napkins, chameleon chairs with chocolate brown seat cushions, all complimented by centerpieces in shades of pink. Roses, orchids, calla lilies and wheat grass were all used to create an eclectic array of centerpieces in glass vases and chocolate brown wooden vases. All the centerpieces were set on lazy-susans, used for family style service of artisan cheeses, antipasto meats and assorted Latin American pastries (in place of traditional butler passed hors d’oeuvres). These same lazy-susans were then used for bread service during their three course dinner, and for petite desserts after dinner.

Adding to the décor elements, Patricia and Humberto chose a clear top tent overlooking Biscayne Bay, with their 12 piece Latin orchestra floating over the water. Most guests danced under the stars and in the moon light, while others enjoyed freshly rolled Cuban style cigars. It was the night of their dreams… created in six weeks time!

Day 1 – (inside joke) – These pictures are sick in an awsome way. We especially like the before picture of the guest card table. Are only complaint is that there is no after picture (inside joke). We love you and may all your ups and downs be under the sheets.

The last post was strictly Kenneth. Also he asked to change "Are" to "Our"
