Google+ "How Apple Ruined My Wedding" - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

So, I avoided the lines and went to AT&T at 3pm to place an order for the new iPhone 3G.  I’m happy to wait a week considering all the craziness today….  Check this story out!

“I started the upgrade and it failed, so now my iBrick is stuck in “dial emergency number” mode when I turn it on. I get the same connection error in iTunes as listed above. My wedding is tomorrow and there are people flying in from around the world, they all have my wireless number which will go straight to voicemail without me knowing it or that a call was received. Steve Jobs, will you be my best man?”

I hope this bride has a smooth weekend sans iPhone service.

This Apple gadget was the talk of the tweets on Twitter today!  Wedding pros were all abuzz over this morning’s 3G launch.  It has certainly aided many of us in the wedding biz…. and a few geeky grooms, too!  Check out this iProposal and this groom’s iVows.  Any of you fabulous photographers have iPhone wedding pics?  Get ready… we’re having an photo contest soon.  Have a great weekend!

Hrm. Not to be judgmental at all – but I’m not sure I would have done a major software upgrade the night before my wedding. Good call on waiting a week! ;)

I got my lovely iPhone bright and early Friday morning- couldn’t be happier with it so far!! I’m betting it will come in handy as I plan my wedding- with all the fun new apps out, there has to be some kind of budgeter… Someone needs to get on a wedding budgeter app, stat!

Surprisingly we had no problems at all with our iPhone at the wedding this weekend or the day we got it. Perhaps it was because I was fifth in line? I’m such a dork!!! -David
