How I got into weddings: Troy was in the Marine Corps for the first six years of our life together. We were either moving or he was gone or something was always changing. During college, I got into photography and knew it was something I would always love and could bring with me. I was a painting major when I met Troy and I loved how he inspired me to try a new canvas. So really, I have him to thank for all of this.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Sweet tea, outdoor historic venues, and Southern sunshine almost year round.
Favorite part of a wedding day? Picking one part is so hard! Typically it’s more of a feeling than an actual moment or physical thing. It’s how it feels to be surrounded by people who love this couple so much and are here to support and love and bless their marriage on the day it begins. Being a part of the best day of someone’s life is truly a gift.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Don’t choose your vendors based on availability, budget, or because someone told you so. You need to find people who you connect with, who get your vision for your day, and will invest in your relationship.
Dream travel destination? Anywhere in France!
Favorite Southern city? Savannah of course :)
Early bird or night owl? Is it possible to be both?
Favorite pie flavor? Derby pie! Also known as chocolate pecan pie in other places than Kentucky :P
Favorite biscuit topping? Blackberry jam!
