Southern Weddings

At Nola Flora, we are a fun, eclectic, multicultural mix of creative designers and event staff. We have a retail space on Magazine Street in New Orleans where we carry a great mix of art by local artists and cool stuff that we bring back from all of our travels, but we specialize in creating florals for some of the most fabulous events and weddings in our city. And we love it!

Things you’d write home to your Momma about: We’ve had a pretty great year! We made Gambit’s Best Florist in New Orleans list, had flowers in Us and People magazines (we did Jamie Lynn Spears’ wedding flowers–lots of fun!), did our first international wedding in Saigon, and were featured in an article on HGTV’s website.

How I got into weddings: I grew up in a family florist/nursery, so participating in weddings in some capacity has always been a part of my life.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Family traditions, family heirlooms, and family recipes
Favorite part of a wedding day? Seeing a bride with her bouquet for the first time is magical!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Have fun and really be present on your special day. Don’t stress about the details. The wedding is just like the rest of life–it’s best not to sweat the small stuff!
Dream travel destination? Bali, Cairo, Greece, Rome, Morocco, Galapagos Islands, etc., etc.
